I’ve got a lot of experience with body work, and until there are more photos of the damage, it’s near impossible to come to that conclusion based on this photo.
Being in the auto business for 16 years myself, and having seen cars gets damaged in transit, I’ve always had the option to present the facts to the customer and let them decide. Sometimes the customer was ok with fixing their car and other times we replaced it. It’s always been their choice...
I’d like the option to consider it. Wouldn’t you? And yes, I’d still take it. Do you want to scrap your vehicle every time you get into an accident? I’d like some free stuff thrown in, or possibly a free extended warranty to go with it.
The OP wasn’t given a choice. How is that even fair?
There appears not to be structural damage there. I’ve seen worse done by a tree that was rather easily fixed. The a pillar doesn’t appear to be out of position, nor does the windshield.
We’d need to see more pics, but that looks to be a rather easy fix, from my experience.
I highly doubt that...
Did your dealer give you any sort of ETA on the black bucking Bronco emblem? I’m going to do that too on my VB OBX when it arrives, as well as the gloss black “Bronco” writing for the fenders.
Since the grille on the OBX is gloss, I figured the gloss “Bronco” fender badges and gloss black...
Not me, personally. There are many paying $10K+ on base Broncos right now. You don’t think there will be many paying over for a Raptor?
You mention one dealer out of 3,000…
The F-150 Raptor has been selling over sticker for years, in my neck of the woods anyways.
Never said that would be the MSRP, but there’s an excellent chance of ADM’s being added to fetch that money…a First Edition just fetched $120K+ at auction.
I don’t believe for one second they didn’t think this would be a hit. In 2018, Jeep sold 200K Wranglers alone. Ford knew what the market share potential was, which is why they brought the Bronco back.
The fact that they used a reservation system and kept it open for over a year says they knew...
My dealer reached out to me last Wednesday and left me know I should look in my email Thursday morning. He said there was a good chance it would get scheduled, and it was.
I think if Ford could build more Broncos at the moment, they would.
Before the pandemic, Jeep was selling 200K Wranglers per year. There’s a lot of market share to grab there.
