This. Back it in.... way easier to judge the gaps.... Some 3" frog eye mirrors stuck on the lower outer corner of your door mirrors also helps greatly.
Could have been a dealer courtesy car. I bought our Mach-E this way, had 1900 miles on it as a courtesy car, but sold as "new" with full warranty kicked in after the 1900 miles. And of course, a healthy discount. It's a great way to save more money, if the deal is right, I wouldn't hesitate.
Since we're all sharing & feeling warm & fuzzy, I'll offer that I'd rather trash my Bronco than suffer the indignity of sporting mud flaps, or any other kind of flap. For the love of Pete...

I never suggested it made things worse, just couldn't see the advantage...still can't. It's not like the aftermarket short shifters are free... I guess the real disadvantage is to your wallet. 😅
Again, given the subject vehicle here, I'll take the leverage & ergonomics over a slightly quicker...
lol... given the torque profile on an FI engine, and an off-road focused vehicle, you're really reaching there...no pun intended...😅
I'll stick with my original analogy, until I hear a better suggestion.
Honest question: Why would someone want a short(er) throw shifter on a Bronco? Seems counter-intuitive... like putting a longer throw on your Mustang GT... 🤔
I bought my '24 model in August of '25, it had been on the lot a long time (16 months?) Shockingly, it still only had 9 miles when I picked it up. I guess no one wanted an orange 2Dr Sas.... 🤔
