Ditch lights were my inexpensive (<$100) solution, despite having to manually flick the switch when needed. These have a dual DRL and white spot function. Flood ditch lights with a wider beam spread might be better for your desired application, but even these relatively small 2" Rough Country...
If I were to sell them, I'd certainly be transparent that these are warranty replacements, no further warranty is available or transferable as it's a used set, it is unknown what updates were or were not done by Oracle to prevent future failure, and that it's a gamble as to how long they'd last...
You could perhaps look at getting replacements under the warranty and then just reselling them at a steep discount. I'd take $300-$300 on the used market vs tossing them in the dump... Might be my next move, actually.
Yeah, they emailed me back yesterday to say they are sending me a free replacement at least. I was hoping for a bit more transparency to give me some confidence in putting the replacement back in. I'm undecided about keeping them or just reselling them...
Can we get an answer about what is/was causing the issue, and what has been done to newer lights to prevent that same failure we've all had? I'm not yet confident in getting a replacement set, even under warranty, if they'll just fail again prematurely...
I also posted in the lighting section for further discussion:
After a set of failed Oracles, I bought one of the cheap $70ish sets that are listed from various Ebay sellers. These reuse the oem halogen bracket for a good fitment, come with resistors mounted on the lights to avoid road spray...
After a set of failed Oracles, I bought one of the cheap $70ish sets that are listed from various Ebay sellers. These reuse the oem halogen bracket for a good fitment, come with resistors mounted on the lights to avoid road spray, have a start up animation sequence, and are quite bright. Plug...
I asked specifically what updates were made so I could buy with confidence, and was told there never was an issue in the first place. Either your team is bad with internal communication or someone is outright lying. Neither is a good look.
If you'd like my failed lights back for R&D, I'll...
That was me who asked them hoping to find out what they fixed. Only for them to say there never was an issue for Broncos. Unreal... If they can't say what they fixed and deny there was ever an issue, how can I have any confidence in a replacement light?
So I am not taking their 15% discount...
Also a driver failure a couple weeks ago, after 15 months. Oracle offered 15% off 1 light ($46 discount, tax and shipping still extra). I asked what has been fixed so I'm not throwing more money at something that would fail again. They said there are NO issues with Bronco lights, and it was a...
Where you located? I'm in Chicago area. My driver side is toast, but passenger side is good (so far). I removed and replaced with a generic set off eBay yesterday after not getting anywhere with Oracle. Resistor doesn't show any corrosion. Pics from yesterday showing the passenger side is...
I had Tuxmats in my previous vehicle, and my right foot wore through the top surface layer in one spot after 50,000 miles. Never had that happen with any other premium mats in 35 years of driving. The Tuxmats did look and fit great before that, but I can't vouch for their longevity despite...
So here is one of the $69 sets that is listed on Ebay by a number of sellers. Can they really be any worse than the ones that are marked up to $500+? from the brand name sponsors here? Looks like they need to reuse part of the OEM bracket and they aren't flush. Maybe I'll keep a fire...
Add me to the growing list. Mine crapped out this past week also. Filling out the online form to see what options are available as a customer friendly resolution and will share with the group here.
If not reasonable, I could perhaps just get a set of the prevalent and cheap $69 eBay LED...
I've had the Nokian Outpost nAT for nearly 40,000 miles including last winter. They were decent in the snow, but still less grip than a dedicated winter tire that I had on another vehicle. And yes, the grip in wet in 2wd isn't there when accelerating, but switching over to 4wd cures that...
I didn't mention other options. For clarity, I meant I would wait to see long term results from other buyers of this particular product if it ends up being very expensive.
