I have my kicker 200.4 wired directly to my battery with the fuse box in line. No power to the amp when I turn on the car. I am using a Hoel wiring harness. Either the harness is bad or there's a reason no power is getting to the amp. I've tried both DC and 12+ dip switch settings. Any ideas?
This is awesome. So I am using a Hoel wiring harness and ran power direct to the battery. I screwed down tight to terminals and the power wire provided has a fuse "in line". I have no power to the amp or sub. Any ideas as to why? Do I also need a fuse in the hood fuse box?
Found this as I was searched setup for the kicker hideaway. I have the kicker speakers in dash, panels, and rears. Kicker key 200.4 with PNP wiring harness. Sounds great but bass is terrible. Want to add the kicker hideaway sub. How did you wire that in with your existing setup? Also where did...
How is your setup? Are you using the t harness? I ask as my speakers are good until 17 and then I get some distortion. I have kicker speakers and key amp 200.4. Tuned with happy sound result. Bass blockers in dash. No gain.
Hey fellow 1/24ers - checking in. How many people do we have left yet to receive their Bronco?
Also, PSA: I accidentally drove into my garage with the soft top partially open. Dumb shit move on my part. Please take note folks - do not do that. LOL
When I put the volume to around 16/17 the speakers get muffled, almost distorted. I turn down the bass and mid-range a bit and it helps but would have thought the kicker key amp would have allowed it to be cleaner at higher volume. The gain is all the way down on the amp.
The dash 4" Kickers...
I found this while searching for ways to eliminate the speaker muffle I get since installing the kicker key amp. I thought I should not use bi-amp mode since its just a harness from the stock head unit to the amp. Will enabling bi-amp help? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am a novice with...
I got everything working and mounted. Pink noise setup worked successfully. No gain on the amp, all switches in default. When I put the volume to around 16/17 the speakers get muffled. The speakers are kicker 3 1/2 and 6 1/2. Any ideas why there is speaker muffle?
After more troubleshooting today I found one wire pulled out ever so slightly. I put it back into the metal tip and recrimped it down. I added a few wraps of electrical tape as well to make sure it stays put. Put everything back and things are working fine now.
Looking for some advice on how to troubleshoot this issue:
I installed the Kicker Key Amp 200.4 and Plug N Play wiring harness. Out of the box everything worked great.
A few days after some use, the driver side dash speaker and front door speaker no longer have sound. Every other speaker does...
I followed the instructions and this thing worked like a champ. Thank you @67BroncoG1 !!!
One question though; I haven't mounted the amp yet. I noticed the power light on the amp is still lit even after I turn off the car and exit the vehicle. Is this normal? I would expect this to shut off...
