Back in May, we had two fault codes pop up on our 2023 2.3L Bronco with 23,000mi on it. I cleared them with FORScan and was able to make it home without any drivability issues, but the next day they returned at startup. The codes were:
Code: P0243 - Turbocharger/Supercharger Wastegate Actuator...
Looks like an awesome time! Sedona is beautiful, thanks for sharing. Bookmarking this trip report for the next time we are out there - hopefully in our Bronco. In April, we took a rental RAV4 (fwd) out to Devil's Bridge and survived with only a few minor scrapes - but got a lot of funny looks :)
Sorry to hear about your saga. Morimoto has lost me as a customer due to the poor experience I had with them and I tell everyone I can to avoid their products too.
just the smart way- if the straps are a bit loose and the boards slide back at highway speeds, the fins will keep them on the car. Agree it does look better in images with the fins at the back though
I really like the Heritage wheels in gloss black. I don't understand the vinyl scheme, but the more I look at it the more I don't hate it. It kind of works in the rear 3/4 view.
Also, the board goes on fins forward.
FWIW I swapped a set of Fox Hoss 3.0 takeoffs onto our non-sas 2.3L Black Diamond and gained roughly 2" of ride height in the front and 1" in the rear making it sit very close to level. The Fox shocks ride and perform great. Also, I do not run the rear sway bar and think the handling is fine...
Love the old Volvo! The courses were on the Dirtfish facility which has a network of gravel roads and practice areas. These had a solid base so, while some ruts and bumps would develop, it wasn't very hard on the suspension.
I know! It was almost worth it for the photos alone :)
Yup - they...
I thought I would try a run with it disconnected until I got out there. It was already leaning over in the corners so making it softer up front would not have helped. It was reasonably tail happy if you managed the weight correctly. My biggest challenge was accurately predicting/ timing the...
The 3-day DirtFish course is on my radar for this winter. It looks like a blast!
Eric had his 2-door Wildtrak out there and had a great time in it:
Thanks! We really are spoiled up here 😃
Good point! The rules for this group are that the vehicle needs to be wider than tall with a max width...
I ran 24psi on the first day and 26psi on the second day. After looking at how much they rolled over in the photos, that was probably a little low. Will try 30psi next time and go from there
Hello, Nice pup and Bronco! We're out that way fairly often, so we'll keep you in mind when we hit the trails. If you are on Facebook, check out the PNW Broncos group for frequently posted events.
I did the first run in Sport mode with the AdvanceTrac button held down until it gave the 'Off' indication. The 4A of this mode definitely helps turn in, but acceleration is severely limited when wheel slip and/or rotation is detected - I'd give full throttle and it would cut power and be laggy...
