I finally got around to installing the Sunrider on Sunday. It was pretty straightforward with a few exceptions. Here are my thoughts on the install.
The paper instructions aren't very clear. I had to translate what I saw on paper to what I saw on the Bronco or Sunrider a few times. I just put...
Reviving the thread as I just came across this. I have a few questions for those who have this:
1. Does the factory Ford rear mat still fit with this? If not, what modifications need to be made to make it fit?
2. It wasnāt clear from the posts I read but are you able to access the trunk area...
I'm in the same boat. Is there a way to design the shackle such that the bolts pass through the shackle before the flange to make it more seamless? It might look better if everything was the same color but the Area 51 makes it stand out more than I like. Otherwise, I love that there are bull bar...
My (replacement) Sunrider finally arrived. The one I ordered during Black Friday got to me after 4 weeks and FedEx destroyed it in the process. The FedEx operations by me are a joke. Weather definitely dropped here, so I may try to install this weekend to ensure fitment but unfortunately won't...
That was a fun comparison. I was seriously considering the Ranger Raptor before buying my Bronco. I'll probably look at one in a few years after it's had a chance to work out the new model bugs.
I just removed the rear strut. @Lifeliberty , I used your idea of using grease for the install to make it easier to remove. I applied some bike lube on the spring part and it was much easier to pry open vs. popping the whole thing off.
Got it, thanks. The clip was a PITA to pop off when I did it the first time. It literally flew off and I had to hunt for it on the asphalt using a flashlight.
The dealer is going to warranty the new strut and Iām getting a replacement. Is it simple enough for me to just replace the whole thing myself? I have a tailgate limiter also so Iād rather do it than have the dealer install it only for me to relocate it later. I havenāt look at the assembly yet...
@mdube72 actually answered this in another thread. Check this out. It looks to be $300-400 for some speaker replacements.

Nice looking setup. I think yours is the direction I'll go once I decide to upgrade the system. I see you got the mObridge mounted in a 2-door. Draughton had to do some "driveway engineering" to get it to fit in another thread (...
I just had this happen to me yesterday. 1,500 miles new as well. I have a trip to the dealer on Wednesday so hopefully they will replace this under warranty.
Did anyone ever figure out if there was a metal end that fits? Mine is a 23 with an Aug or Sep build date.
I got these off Amazon. They came folded so I let them sit and hit them with a little heat to get them back in shape.
