You definitely want some spacers in there if you canāt get the bracket flat against the awning. There will be a lot of movement without it which could cause the nuts to come loose or deformation to the bolts.
I have the same setup and agree with everything you said. Going fast, they feel great. But as soon as you slow down, they are way too stiff.
Not sure if I can go to the lower weight range shock in the rear cause of the gear I run, so Iām wondering what the fix is. Let us know what you decide to do
I just watched that video of the dodgers fan playing with fireworks and I guess thatās scarred my brain cause I totally thought this was real at first š
excellent job!
After seeing this thread I decided to order one myself. Took almost exactly 10 weeks from order date.
I did gloss carbon fiber, orange stripe and stitching, perforated leather on the sides, and smooth Napa leather on top and bottom.
Overall Iām happy with how it turned out. There were a few...
I have them screwed into the roof rack, but noticed some vertical movement of the awning when going over bumps. The u-bolts just prevent the awning and mounting bracket from lifting off of the roof rack
I can answer this one well because I have the acumen legend and my dad has the wolf box.
I chose the acumen legend because it had the built in switches.
Comparing the two, the acumen is definitely more clear and works better at night. When I drove my dadās raptor with the wolf box I thought...
Iām using these awning mounts:

I had to drill an extra hole and secure them with a couple u-bolts. Iāll post some pictures when I get home
IAG is working on a heavier duty skid plate. I know because they sent them to me to try after I wrecked their original skid plates. Unfortunately, they were very long and interfered with my rock sliders so I had to send them back, but I would expect them to release more details soon.

Itās been discussed before, and a quick search wouldnāt hurt but basically:
1. depends on the tires (theyāre not all 37ā exactly) and wheels (offset changes contact points)
2. Remove crash bars / crash bar delete
3. Body lift
4. Trim oem rock rails
5. Suspension lift at least 2ā
And any...
After this incident it was trimmed up, but when it melted it was tucked up against the side of the battery. You definitely donāt want to tuck it up on the side of the battery next to the engine as it gets quite hot there.
And so many people on forums saying to just wire directly to battery...
That really sucks, but I'm glad itās not a total loss as Iāve enjoyed reading about your build.
I had some loose winch wiring cause a short and almost started a fire. It was contacting the EGR exhaust tube right next to the battery. Might want to check that area to see if thereās any damage. I...
I asked them about that and they said that it is already coated for waterproofing/protection and didnāt give me any more recommendations.
I was really concerned about the weight as well. Turns out once I upgraded my suspension to stiffer springs I canāt really tell the difference anymore. Idk...
itās the aspen lite xl. I love that it is lightweight and the sleeping area is plenty big enough for two adults and two small dogs. Iām a side sleeper and the 3 in mattress wasnāt enough for me to lay comfortably so I added their cloud topper and it helps incredibly, but makes it difficult to...
I ran a few errands this morning and when I returned home, I could hear liquid dropping, hitting metal, and then evaporating. Got underneath and noticed water was dripping from a wiring harness above the transfer case. See photos below.
it wasnāt wet outside, but it was foggy and I did run the...
I saw 109 on cruise control and at first thought thatās insane and I didnāt know it would let you cruise that fast, but then realized it was km š
I really wanted that one but opted for the JCR. Iāll be out a few hundred, but after 1 year itās started to rattle and fitment isnāt great. So I can justify the upgrade š
