Not sure about the NA 7.3, but my blown 5.2 manages to get 12MPG + on 41s and 5 38s., and a HEAVY foot The power is worth the $$$s, my only engine swap gripe is the reduced range...but that's fixable with auxiliary tank.

I bought a first edition, and it was even one of the engines with the bad vin number.But after a hundred thousand miles, it never exploded.It was just as reliable as the badlands.We bought later and also the wildtrack that we purchased... I'll keep the first edition forever.

I have side curtain air bags, but they are off 2 dr, uncertain if they are the same part.

So there may be a workaround on this by using a F150 sending unit...as the f150 tank is much deeper and the little float arm is longer than broncos... I had to change to the bronco float arm.Because the f150 was too long for the tank to work... (engine swap)

My guess is that the pinion bushing has failed enough to allow the plastic ring , with little gears to become damaged. This sensor will throw things off, but doesn't explain the weird noise. Has the rack separated somewhere in the center???
