Congrats to those en route now.
Finally off chip hold myself and on a train somewhere headed west. Sat on chip hold for about 3 weeks. Would have loved to have known what actually happened, what was constrained or failed in inspection, etc.
Is there a checklist in new Fords that shows all...
My guess is this was either damaged at the factory, hit by train maybe or crushed by a transport truck? This actually does happen more than you think but usually Ford just uses it as a crash test vehicle, OR as was mentioned already stolen and joy ridden and crashed. Too low of miles I think...
Well there is no snow in the southwest right now so I think you're fine either way but that could always change.
Personally I would drive the Raptor. As someone who has multiple cars and who tends to use the daily drivers way more than the fun cars, and then sells the fun cars with basically...
That's news to me, wasn't even aware it was optional to remove. Learned something new. Maybe that's why my Raptor is still sitting on Ice Mountain on chip hold, can't navigate it's way back into the plant. LOL
Oh interesting, so without removing braces it's a no go. Was curious myself, not that I would ever do it to be honest. Also wasn't it written somewhere that Ford said to never remove those braces? Presume some sort of structural integrity issue with chassis flex.
After missing all targets for 22' build and after the 23' MY conversion the first date was early November, received email on October 7th. So roughly 3 months and a couple weeks or so from that initial build date before the ice mountain pseudo-build I currently have.
Again I think a bump isn't the worst thing right now. If the alternative is chip hold and sitting outside in sub zero Michigan weather under snow and ice. I was bumped 5 times and pseudo built on the 20th. Chip hold since then with no completion date mentioned.
Some transparancey would be...
Thank you, I understood the volume but I am sure that is helpful for others questioning sizing. I want a cooler that can tackle several days or longer when camping and the 55 was about right. I had them all open side by side at REI and the 35 really was tiny inside. Front to back lid on the...
I'll ask again, where is the hood switch? Is it a momentary somewhere? Is it built into the hood catch itself (worse design). They usually have some adjustment to them but purely depends on what type of switch it is and where.
The plan was the 55IM as once I saw how absolutely tiny the inside of the 35 and 45's were I was no longer interested. Practically pointless unless it's a day's outing with a cooler that tiny.
Did not know the 55IM would have a clearance issue though. Is that for 2 door and 4 door? or just...
Sorry to hear, probably for the best right now as they don't seem to have the parts to finish them. Being partially built and sitiing outside in Michigan winter I feel is worse.
Modules and tear tag don't change wether you are on chip hold sadly. I have had those as well since a day or so after blend. Hope the best for you though.
Really hoping this isn't another ice mountain scenario and they are finished up and shipped ASAP.
Dealer can probably give you the most accurate VVR but chat probably also would know that info. If you show "built" and not slip backwards to "in production" again that's a good sign at least. Those of us on confirmed chip hold no longer show built but did for a moment there.
I don't get it either, they had plenty of parts to build others but not enough to finish the rest? I don't grasp that way of doing business. I hope it's but a minor setback and they are finished quickly as this endless wait has become ridiculous.
Wow, surprised and yet not surprised to see so much hate. Normally it's focused towards Ford or Raptor flares though.
It's a cool rig, he seems like a nice guy, I would enjoy meeting and talking with the guy. Keep on doing you Barry, glad you're into this, says a lot about you.
Folks get so...
