It actually went into 4A. I was mistaken, as I thought there were were only 4L and 4H. I’ve tried playing with Sport Mode and understand it better now.

I usually drive my 2.7L 4dr BD in Economy Mode. But the other day, I turned the dial twice and it ended up in Sport Mode. I thought to keep it there to try it, but then it switched to 4H, and I was doing maybe 70 on the freeway. I know that’s not good for 4x4, so switched it to 2H right away...

Totally agree with this. I’ve had no issues with 87. The 2.7 is effortless in this car and I don’t mind not having the few extra lb-ft of torque. It’s tuned as a truck engine, so won’t need to go high RPMs, where most timing issues occur.

I paid $2k for 5 years 75k miles maintenance. It’s protection from inflation. If prices don’t rise over the next 5 years, I will probably come out even or ahead. If prices do rise, I come out way ahead.
