While it looks good in this interior trim combo in a JC Whitney kinda way, I wouldn't want to be the second owner. I can't help but think of guys in our local Land Cruiser club that have mid-90's faux burl wood appliqués stuck here and there on the dash, probably by a dealer back in the day...
I mean't it is a pita to get to the setting screws. If you mean't the actual rebound, I've just gone by reaction of the truck.
It's a process, and TBH it is a bit on the soft side for pavement, but the washboard is tolerable.
FWIW- I've had MRR's on my 80 series Land Cruiser for the past two years and ~20k. I've been really happy with them so far. I live 2.5 miles down a road that is course sand washboard, major whoops, and a normally dry wash, so they have seen daily abuse beyond actual off-road trips.
I tried...
That's cool!
I'm curious to find out if it will throw EVAP codes. (not from a vapor leak, rather the time it takes to achieve vacuum for the cycle test)
That is disappointing to hear. Maybe that is why there isn't much talk about them in threads on this board. I have beat the hell out of the ones on my Power Wagon over the years.
I'm on the fence as I'm not sure I want to go down the build route with this Bronco. I've already got two fully...
I've run a dorkel on my Land Cruiser for about 20 years now, and almost 10 on the Power Wagon. The biggest advantage other than water fording, is cooler intake temps which results in a tad bit better MPG (solid 1 on the Land Cruiser) especially here in AZ desert summers. ECM doesn't pull back...
I don't think enough Michelin tech trickles down to BFG. I work for the largest independent tire and wheel retailer in the US and I would not choose them. Ain't the late 1980's anymore.
Nitto Ridge Grapplers are on both the rigs in my sig. and have been for years. (Nitto is owned by Toyo). I'd...
OP - Get some EBC Yellowstuff (or Green if Yellow be too aggressive for you) pads and leave the OEM rotors. Be prepared to clean heavy dust off the wheels on the regular.
^ This.
I'm no f'n safety sally, but one of my biggest pet pives is dumb shits that mount their hi-lift to the hood or in this case on a damage multiplier brush guard. A decent impact, from any direction, that thing is a potential missile. Plus, I'd be willing to bet that dude has no lift...
The flange CV looks dry, so the only other place is the pinion seal. The DS of the pumkin and shield clearly have our AZ dust stuck on there. As someone mentioned above, you might want to check the diff breather tube and make sure it isn't obstructed somehow. Going up in elevation (which we can...
