You just have understand the process.
1) Decide what dealers you want to reward
2) Make a "formula" that rewards them
Very simple if you have the right point of view. The actually formula developed is irrelevant and not worth trying to understand :-)
To be clear. These dealers are not selling on price alone from my perspective. I didn't do the math, but I suspect that my order from Grainger will cost me MSRP if not a little more once I include travel to take delivery. It has nothing to do with cost (well MSRP cost). It's about honesty...
Hmmm. What if people converted to an order in 2021. Doe they even get the price protection at all?
Also Ford is only giving price protection to 2023, but many 2020 reservation holder are looking at 2024 or later. I suspect many have converted to orders and are now in some kind of Ford...
No. This allows my local dealer to take my order with $10,000 deposit where they lead me to believe I will pay MSRP. The dealer now has an order in hand. The dealer can then shop that order around and see how much they can get for it. It may be that they find someone willing to pay $10,000 ADM...
I put a lot of time and effort into finding an honest dealer. There are two honest dealers on this board that also sell Jeeps. Why on earth would I go through that process all over again not knowing how Ford will move the goal posts in a way that messes me up. These more honest dealers can get...
Not sure if that number has any meaning. I've got two converted orders but I'm looking at 2024 or later for delivery. Ford should really be reporting reservation actually delivered to the reservation holder. That will tell the real story. I suspect that number will never come out, as it would...
I sent an email to all my local dealers. They either wouldn't discuss pricing or simply didn't respond. Grainger responded within one day. They answered follow up questions promptly. My local dealer didn't need to match Grainger for my business. They just needed to treat me with a little respect...
@Zach@Granger
Thanks for your post. I'm sure that honesty and integrity will pay off off for you in the long term.
With an Oct 2020 reservation, it looks like I'm going to see delivery in 2024, 2025 or later. I have no interested in doing some pathetic dance to find another honest dealer who...
As much as I want to bash Ford for what they're doing - I'm not going to do that here. Please refrain from that in this thread... The mere existence of a thread on a Bronco forum dedicated to buying a Jeep because Ford completely abandoned the notion of a "reservation", stabbing customers in the...
How do the speaker locations differ between hi and lux?
What is the different in terms of power from the head unit?
Does the the lux give more options, like pre-amp out?
Seems like it would be good to know the actual physical difference between the two....
WOW. Ford should have offered up their Lawyers on behalf of the customer. If there was a legal agreement and $$ changed hands... So basically Ford is condoning this behavior by choosing to do nothing.
Now we know that signed paperwork and a deposit isn't worth squat. Why would anyone give any...
I don't think the electrical grid in the US can support the demand needed for rapid EV adaption. It can barely handle hot days....
I just looked up these numbers - so they could be wrong....
An ev uses ~.25KWH per mile - lets say 50 miles per day average. Thats 12.5KWhr per day. A three ton...
Yea, but now you have all those take off parts and you're going to pay someone $150 an hour to install them. The package is ~4K. Price out new tires, new gears, new shocks and springs and the labor to do all the work. Maybe you end up about even if you're able to sell all the takeoffs but that's...
Tell me more? I don't see it on Jeep B&P. I have a 2 year wait and am thinking Rubicon. If I can get one with 35s that makes it even more appealing - I don't need to buy new rims and tires, just skids and should be good to go for lots of fun.
Is it just the Diesel or does the HEMI now offer 35s...
