  1. Proper grounding ?

Best electrician education I can offer is the following: Electrical devices run off of compressed smoke. If you don’t believe me then let the smoke out and see if the device doesn’t stop working! 🤣 Also, you can never do too good of a job at electrical grounding.
  2. Lightest 17" wheels *with positive offset*?

Ditto I’d like to hear what people find. Weight is weight and it always hurts performance. Plus it is more fun to change a flat when it weighs less. šŸ˜‰
  3. Where to mount a gun safe? [Admin Warning: NO POLITICS]

@tourproto. Must be quite a contrast coming from BMW to Bronco, especially for noise, vibration & harshness. Are you planning to make the Bronco your primary vehicle? Keeping the BMW?

  6. Where to mount a gun safe? [Admin Warning: NO POLITICS]

@tourproto , OK I see your point. Combo not same as Simplex. Good point. Obviously a guy who can afford to pay Oregon taxes and still own a Bimmer is in a financial position to buy a gun safe that is an order of magnitude more than me, šŸ˜‚ Good for you, God bless a nation where you can do that...
  7. Where to mount a gun safe? [Admin Warning: NO POLITICS]

@tourproto I’m not a fan of keyed either, that’s why the one in the link I posted is combination (but they have both options). Like you, I’m just trying to solve smash & grab, plus check the box for places that require lock-up.
  8. Where to mount a gun safe? [Admin Warning: NO POLITICS]

My default go-to pistol safe is this from Bulldog. Simple, tidy, inexpensive. I use sheet metal screws or pop rivets to hard mount it. https://www.bulldogcases.com/product/personal-safe-w-steel-combination-lock-security-cable/
  9. Installing Warn winch. Need HELP.

Hard to make out what I’m looking at there in a bundle. How about a picture on the shop floor all spread out like an exploded diagram? I downloaded the instruction manual and it surely doesn’t show anything like that. That little black box says 40 amps. The Winch specs say 358 amps at load, so...

  13. NEW Modular Spare Tire Delete / RotopaX Mount / License Plate Relocate

Ditto. Maybe this is mall-crawler setup ??? I wouldn’t leave city limits without a spare tire, much less go adventuring in the unpaved backcountry.
  14. FerkinBlonco’s Drive to Alaska Trip Log [Completed]

@FerkinBlonco My rough calculation says you averaged 60 MPH speed overall, guessing you drove more like 65 MPH on the highway stretches, correct?
  15. Minimal recovery kit contents?

I was going to add shovel. You beat me to it. šŸ‘ (Folding army style) Also consider what you would need to comfortably survive 24 hours in the backcountry.
  16. MIC Noise Reduction Guide - wind sound- aka more (or less) cowbell please

I’m starting to think that there Is a direct correlation between one’s region and one’s wind noise experience. To wit, people in big western states with lots of prevailing wind & high speed interstate highways say ā€œLoudā€, while people in eastern sheltered woodlands with low-speed twisty local...
