Another reason I'm finding to switch to the 4-door (& soft top) that I haven't seen mentioned is the 2-door range. You get about 4 more gallons in the 4-door fuel tank, (from almost 17 gal to almost 21 gal) pushing the range from about 290 to almost 350 miles.

It would be to dealer's advantage to not have their orders switch. This way, they get their allocation met with inventory they can sell on their lot.
