Fired up my Bronco today and the grinding is so much louder than it was before. Drove 200 miles yesterday and it was kind of smelly when I got home, like burnt rubber.
I understand Ford has to diagnose the issue and come up with a fix, but would it kill them to give an update and give us some...
Did you end up adjusting your windows so that they were in spec? If so, did that stop the whistling?
I saw a thread from a guy that adjusted his windows to be in spec, and it helped the window not to be caught on the seal when opening the door. I'm planning on doing that this summer to help...
What color stitching did you get on your boot, and does it match your Badlands pretty well? Looking at the website, Millenium Yellow looks pretty close but Iām a bit unsure if itās an exact match.
I swapped mine out for Nitto Recon Grapplers at 150 miles. They seem like a nice tire so far. Every now and then I'll still hear a rock ping off the side of the car, which is why I got PPF. Now when I hear a rock ping, I don't cringe quite as hard.
The PPF and/or swapped tires definitely won't...
Update: the noise is back and itās especially loud with the cold weather. Pretty lame since I went through the trouble of getting a new transmission approved and installed. Iāll wait to bring it back until there is an actual fix.
If you got the leather interior, it shouldāve been automatically included.
If you got the washout interior, I believe you had to request for it to be added.
Earlier this evening I was driving on the highway (75mph) and my passenger window started whistling pretty loud. Has anyone ever had this happen? It seems to be coming from the top corner of the window where it meets the roof / B-pillar.
For reference, it was 1 degree outside when it happened...
This is a long shot, but I thought Iād just throw this out there ahead of time.
I have a 2022 Shadow Black 2DR Badlands. If someone gets their 2023 Shadow Black 2DR Heritage and wants the circular fenders/flares instead, let me know and letās work something out!
Also, my fenders have Xpel...
You could use some YETI slings shown in the post above. This is just an idea, since youāll have the Molle panels on the back of the seats. I did this in my two door to fit larger tumblers and water bottles.
When I got Xpel PPF, the installer asked me if I wanted to leave my Badlands fender badges or remove them. I opted to keep them, and their template removed a triangle where the Badlands logo is. The film pretty much goes to the very edge of the logo, itās pretty slick.
I donāt think the fender...
