Damn, that sucks. Iāve hopped in mine, thrown it in neutral and rolled it down the driveway without starting it. Iāve done this with many other manual trans vehicles and the Bronco is bad at stopping with no vacuum.
Whether throwing it in gear and letting the clutch out would have stopped you...
Well, yeah. You canāt compare results from different dynos. Even the same dyno on a different day will vary. The first run it made 470 tq. on the same dyno.
āMixesā with the charged air?! It doesnāt mix with anything. The intake air gets pressurized in the compressor side of the turbo and heats up. The colder it is going in, the colder it is going out. Youāre asking more from your intercooler with hotter intake temps, leading to quicker heatsoaking...
You think each tire is exactly the same diameter and theyāre all spinning at the exact same speed? Even going in a straight line, 4H on dry pavement is unnecessary and causing stress on your driveline.
Metal contracts when itās cold and expands as it warms up. It seems as though cold temperatures contract a part/parts enough to cause a tolerance issue and initially expose the sound being heard. Thatās my guess at least.
Mine started doing this with 8k miles now that itās starting to get below freezing. Noise stops once pressure is put on 6th gear or itās in 6th gear. Iām waiting for an actual resolution to come out, rather than replace it with another transmission with bad bearings.
Did you get the mid package? I have a 22 Badlands with Mid. Does your door handle have a little bump you can touch thatās supposed to lock the truck?
