If I am keeping mine off for more than a couple / three days I will lower it onto a rolling platform that supports it from the inside on a wide base . I then roll it where I want it.
I used the straps much in the same manner as the jacks do. I do wonder about the weather stripping. As you say time will tell. If you convert be sure and use a hoist as opposed to a winch, the hoist has a brake that will hold whereas a winch does not.
my solution, I use straps that attach to the 1/2 pipe with pool noodles for scratch resistance. I then mounted a 400lb hoist in the rafters . It is ugly but very efficient. Literally 20 min top removal and 30 minute install. 1 man operation.
not beat a dead horse (Bronco, see what I did there) it appears that they charged you for a 150,000 mile service. That is the first place I see that requires a transmission fluid service and differential / transfer gear case service. I get the multipoint check and tire rotation every oil change...
it is a shoe box going down the road... tighten the mountings make sure the latches are tight, it is still a shoebox going down the road. It is going to make noise due to drag and airflow . Quieter than the tires though. I love it.
I have had my 2023 right at 20 months and take my top off 5-6 times a year . I have a 2 door Badland SAS no leaks , I have never had a leak.. I live in Houston we get 60+ inches a year. I was wondering about the opposite. maybe people who never take theirs off?

I bought the Mabett and really like them, they are bright, I had one small town police officer stop me because the amber lights were not red.. (his words) I was running them on a clear day so people could see me. No ticket.
I live in Houston, we have considerable amounts of rain and I have not had any leaks. I have a 2023 2 door Sasquatch that I have removed the top 10 times in 1.5 years , 26000 miles .
In general , I never expect an OEM battery to go more than 3-3.5 years. I do 5000 mile services and test the battery with a load tester. once mine will not hold above 11 volts I replace the battery. I personally find it is not worth the risk to not change it. I hate/ despise being stranded due...
I always do a 5 tire rotation , to get the most out of my money . Tires have a shelf life and if you just wear out the 4 on the ground , you will still need to replace the "new" spare due to dry rot. I rotate mine every 5000 miles when i do my oil changes .
25,700 miles and the only problem I have had is bolts on the highway. I do a moderate amount of off-road, not a lot of rocks though. tread wear has been really good for me. I have rotated every 5000 when I do the oil changes. Kills my soul to go 5000 on the oil but every vendor says you can go...
I recently switched to 93 octane and noticed about a 1.5 mile per gallon increase , to 17.5 from 16.3 . I am not sure where the people seeing 20 mpg plus are riding, but between my 5 red light/ stop sign commute in the morning and evening over going to work and my 120 mile weekend trek I have...
