Equal parts terrible and amazing. But if they were really trying to stay true to form for a slow slammed car with heavy ass wheels, it should really have a completely empty cargo box mounted to the roof at all times.
I'm actually really excited about the hammock and starting to think I won't get one. My fedex account shows a pending 1lb package from Ten10, but then I got scheduled for a build last week after switching to a soft top the day before the latest Hard Top announcement from Ford.
I mean, yes...
The 4WP rack looks ideal for your needs and mine. I want to be able to carry a canoe. I hope they put it into production soon and at a reasonable price.
Another question for those who have attended…how’s the road on the way in? I’d like to drive my Miata RF; there some great drivers roads nearby. But I also want to make sure that I’ll make it to base camp.
It looks like everything you can drive at the OR has Sasquatch package. Is that accurate? Probably makes it easier to teach the basics, but I'd love to drive something closer to the non-squatch Black Diamond 4dr I'm buying.
I'm booked for Saturday 9/11, then my Black Diamond gets built that week!
For anyone looking to schedule, the best time will probably be the last week of September and first week of October for optimum autumn colors. My expectation, based on how wet this summer has been, is that the leaves...
I got mine after switching to a soft top last week. Also build week of 9/13. Reserved on 7/14/20 at 4:21pm ET.
My build: Black Diamond 4 door, A51, non-sas, 2.7, mid, soft top.
And I'm scheduled for the NH Off-Roadeo on Saturday, Sept 11th, so that's going to be a fun week at my house.
@BuzzyBud This is what I paid also. My Bronco hasn't been delivered yet (no build date) so I had to pay the $200 refundable deposit. When you take delivery of your Bronco, they give this bit back.
They didn’t really have a choice but to own it and do the right thing. I don’t think they handled the communication as expediently as many of us would have liked, but the optics are different than the production realities on the ground. Ford’s big. Big things have a hard time being nimble...
I've owned one Miata or another for basically the last 15 years. The early ones had a zip-out plastic rear window. That was the best soft top, because on really sunny days you could put the top up but roll down the windows and the rear plastic window and get a nice open-air feel without baking...
