I was told at the event by the crew working it that the company running the Off-Roadeos for Ford bought them from Ford and will eventually sell them and replace with new Broncos. Some of the guides were hoping they’d get an opportunity to buy them whenever they do get sold.
The reason they don't put paddle shifters on trucks like this is because when you're rock crawling or doing hardcore off roading and you're sawing at the wheel, they're in your way and the last thing you want is an accidental shift when you're going from full lock in one direction to full lock...
I also had a 7/14 reservation. I switched to Soft Top in August, just a day or two before Ford's "no new hardtops until 2022" email, and then I got scheduled for production the very next week.
Yeah, welcome to the North East. Higher population density and almost every scrap of land is owned. It's not as easy, but with a little prep, there are a lot of places to go. As @briggettek2 mentioned, go get yourself a Maine Atlas and Gazetteer. It shows a lot dirt roads on which you can...
Great. Thanks for posting. I ordered the same Curt hitch for my Bronco, which is same color and trim as yours, about three weeks ago. Hasn’t shipped yet. How long ago did you order yours?
I was considering the same thing. I went to the dealer a took the Mojave for a long drive. For my wife and I, it was immediately obvious. We couldn’t get past the ride. As soon as we put it on the highway, we knew we couldn’t live with it. We have short commutes, but we take a lot of road...
I was there last weekend, too. Saturday for the 8:30 group. similar experience level to you, and I had an equally enjoyable time. Nice photos. I took my R5 to take photos, but I was having so much fun I barely turned it on...
Checked in with dealer this AM. Officially my build date has changed to week of 10/11. Groan. Under normal circumstances, I'd say: what's one more month? But I sold my daily driver two weeks ago to pad my down payment for the Bronco that I thought was getting built this week. Stupid move on...
Okay, this sucks. I’m a 9/13 build week. Just did the Off-Roadeo NH yesterday, and I’m more excited than ever for the truck. I checked the tracker again (as I’ve done every day this week) and still no window sticker.
But how/where are you guys seeing that builds are getting pushed out to...
The included straps are exactly for strapping to back when off-roading. Went to the NH Off-Roadeo yesterday. No high speed stuff, but we were rock crawling with our tops down and top rattle was not noticeable.
I love that you’re in Newfoundland. My wife and I drove all over the island making this low budget documentary about the Targa Newfoundland back in 2011.
What a perfect place to have a Bronco. I think I’ll have to come back with the whole family once we get our Black Diamond.
Congrats! Mine is scheduled for week of Sept 13. You must be pumped!
A few questions...
1. Where did you go to find the Window Sticker? Does it eventually populate on the "My Account" section of ford.com when you log in and go to the "Vehicle Dashboard?" When I do that, It just says...
I switched my 4dr BD build from a 7MT to the 2.7L. I was about to switch it back but then I got a build date. I guess I’ll find out in about a month if I made the right choice. But man, every time I see a pic of a 7MT, I get jealous.
