  1. Do you know what this is?

I think it is a cap for the end of the seat track.
  2. Okay, which one of us did this?

Looks like Aunt Edna is going on VACATION again. See what I did there. LOL.
  3. Badlands MSRP deal advice

I love it. My wife not so much. LOL. Whenever someone says nice Bronco, my response is always "Thanks, it's a manual". LOL. I do like that it is the 7MT. I have always felt a manual transmission feels more like driving. Definitely a more engaging experience. In regards to whether...
  4. Head unit rebooting while driving

Mine does as you describe. Occasionally "reboots" while driving. It does not bother me too much, and it always seems to come back, so I live with it. The total cycle time when it happens in mine is pretty short. Maybe 15 seconds or so from the black screen to back up and running...
  5. Badlands MSRP deal advice

Offer them $1,500 under MSRP and see what they say. Worst they can say is no. Maybe they will meet you in the middle at MSRP. Maybe not. Either way you got nothing to lose. BTW, I own this exact same spec in a 2022. Badlands, Floppy top, More Door, 7MT, with just the mod bumper as an...
  6. Forgotten Mid package. What are my options after being built?

@Bushwacker Please don't take any of what follows in the wrong way. I am not throwing shade or trying to be a jerk. Just wanted to explain a differing point of view. Lots of different reasons to buy a given vehicle at a given time at a given price. Here are mine....... I bought my Bronco in...
  7. Forgotten Mid package. What are my options after being built?

On the bold, I am in agreeement. I obsessed over the Bronco Build and Price configurator last summer, and knew that the Mid Package or above was a must have for me. Then I found a standard package Badlands on a dealer lot with an ADM I was able to negotiate to an accepatble level, so I bought...
  8. Going Solo to the Off-Roadeo

Yeah. I supposed riding with the instructor would be cool and informative.... BUT, my suggestion, is find someone else to take. Does not have to be the wife. Take a buddy. Grab a coworker. Anyone else. it is such a cool experience, and even better to be able to share it with a friend or...
  9. New (used) Bronco owner here

Nice. The rare tan color as well. "She's a beaut, Clark."
  10. Tips for buying Bronco with cash?

How is what I wrote not true? I noted that a dealer would take a certain amount via credit card without charging a fee. A fact that you then confirmed with your post. I have not seen anyone chime in that their dealer let the use a credit card for the total purchase price of a Bronco...
  11. Tips for buying Bronco with cash?

With a purchase of this size, I doubt any dealer would take a credit card without charging you a fairly sizeable fee to pay for their processing fee. Probably around 3%. They may eat the fee on a deposit, but not gonna do it on a $50k transaction.
  12. It was bound to happen... angry face Bronco

Makes an already small fro nt windshield seem quite a bit smaller. Looks like a bit of a parahute too with that big gap, but that could be an optical illusion.
  13. Hoop steps not real rock rails?

I cannot speak for the hoop steps, but can tell you the OEM rails seem fairly beefy to me. I am sure their are other aftermarket options more robust than the OEM rails, but the OEM rails seem decent. If you can get them for a fair price, I would go ahead and pick those up. Install on those...
  14. Ford will stick with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for its vehicles, says Jim Farley

Good luck to GM. That will be an uphill battle. I would be out for a future GM purchase if it did not have Apple Carplay. Seems like a step backward to me, and I totally agree with Jim Farley's assessment that this battle was lost long ago.
  15. Bronco Outer Banks Updates

With that small trailer, there is no need for a brake controller. That being the case you should only require a 4 pin connection and that 4 pin hitch wiring will be easy. Couple of companies make a plug and play harness. Hardest part is running a wire to the battery for power. Something like...
  16. What are the odds?

I think this kinda depends on your dealer. Most likely they have no obligation to take them back. Especially if they have been unpackaged or used which certainly sounds like the case with the doors at least. Maybe ask them nicely? See what they say. Maybe they can sell them for you on...
  17. Mabett products, buyer beware.

So he will stand behind his product just not fast enough for you. That is reasonable on both your parts. Just unfortunate your needs and his needs do not align. Just curious does Mabett even have an ebay store? I have bought all my stuff from the Amazon store. Might these be Mabett...
  18. Paid for a Bronco in cash 2 weeks ago that I still haven't even driven due to faulty headliner & replacement wait

Headliner availability issues are no reason for the dealer to hold onto the vehicle. Go get that thing and drive it. it is yours. Have them call you when they get their act together. Once they have the parts they can call you and you can bring it in at your convenience. Not theirs.
  19. The time has come

I agree on the 2.3L. I tow a pair of snowmobiles with it all winter and the 7MT and it does fine. The trailer is even less aerodynamic than the bronco if you can imagine that. However, the waiting and prices might come down is a bit of a crap shoot. If recent history is any indication...
