Indeed, with a previous project the printer came in very handy.
3d print all initial prototype parts until you get it dialed in.
Then practice machining the parts in wood (figuring out the g-code and so on)
Then finish in aluminum. (for bike parts in my case)
I have a 3D printer so I decided to draw up and print a mini accessory rail. The picatinny rail section I had is only 5.5 inches but you can buy longer ones on amazon. (This is just what I had already).
I should put up the disclaimer that I don't have high hopes of this holding up on hot summer...
Get them some entry level hard tail MTB's! Not only could they tag along on some of the easier trails, you might save some headache picking out a good bike rack and save some weight too!
I think you could use it with a fender bike, its better to engage the tire to help keep it from rotating but if you at least pull the arm down against the fork and the fender it shouldn't go anywhere. The rear tire also has a strap to help keep the bike from rolling forward off the mount.
I think you are looking for what I was looking for. (though I only have the 33's) I have an initial review here:
Rockymounts BackStage 2: Initial Thoughts | Bronco6G - 2021+ Ford Bronco & Bronco Raptor Forum, News, Blog & Owners Community
I just finished too road trips, Boyne Highlands and...
I know I wont be the first to mention this but I thought some pictures might help. I think Justin McBride featured something like this in one of his videos (much nicer than mine)
I kept it simple for now, might upgrade later, I ripped 4 spare 2x4's I had down to 2 3/4" (I think) and then...
I just want to point out that NO ONE designs the "steering" to be the weak link. ever. But you ABSOLUTELY want to design certain parts of the steering to be a week link in the system. Others have already pointed this out but perhaps not clearly enough. Tie rods are not the steering (as in the...
I don't know if they have a 4 bike version. For that you might have to get a standard 4 bike rack and a separate swing out hitch adapter. In that case you might not need the extension as long as the swing out adapter itself can fit under the spare.
I did look at 1Up, they are well regarded, and also not cheap, not that the Rockymounts was either. Main reason was that I would have to get a separate swing out hitch adapter (the RakAttach). The 1Up Equip-D double is almost as expensive as the Rockymounts and the swing away adapter puts it...
Attention:
I took delivery of my 4 door Badlands last week! I had actually purchased the Rockymounts bike rack before I had my Bronco, but had an opportunity to test fit it on another Bronco in order to determine the minimum length hitch extension I would need to clear the spare.
Bottom...
Well for what its worth this is the up to date tracking status:
And my brother who works at the dealer just sent me this:
Not sure why the timing is so off, but i'll take it in this case!
I LOVE the Rivian interior. I am not blown away by the exterior, vastly prefer the Bronco for example, but I agree with Palley6 that at least its not a cyberpunk concept art piece.
I am curious to see the offroad performance, the traction control of 4 wheel motor electric powertrain is...
This may seem obvious to you but have you compensated for tire size in calculating mileage? It is not insignificant. You may be getting similar mileage to before.
I may be out of touch, but I cant believe this can happen with a placed order... I mean I can believe they would try, but I can't believe they would be able to pull it off. I would probably end up in jail. 5k markup? Best I can do is .308...
I just got BCE modules but still do not have build confirmation in email, or on the tracker. I thought that usually came first? Am I one of the only ones left with a 9/6 build week and no build confirmation? At least I have modules now...
