To be fair, its always been more economical or at least more sensible to buy an F-150 Raptor than to turn an F-150 into a Raptor. But that doesn't mean its impossible, or that there isn't value to first starting out cheap and figuring out what the aftermarket offers to bridge the gap. I hope to...
I'll be running 37's on my non-squatch badlands in the future. I anticipate no issues frame wise. The Raptor variant is super built, and I am definitely envious of its hardware, but that just means when people mod them they'll be running the next size up, or two, likely without any frame issues...
Exactly my line of thought but im looking at a diesel swap. On my drive to moab, after looking at my fuel economy, I added a few wrecked Duramax 3.0 I-6's to my watchlist lol too pricey still but a man can dream.
The Bronco Raptor is a way better all around off-roader and its not even close. I love the F-150 Raptor though so I am not going to lose any sleep trying to convince anyone of this, buy the one you want!
Got mine just before October and we got 7600 miles on it. Putting miles on it faster than I planned but not too worried about it.
No Issues, one oil change and my first 5 tire rotation down. Never did a 5 tire on my truck or old liberty, just kept it as a spare.
That would be more accurate but if you use a jack under the control arm the ride height/geometry will not be retained as the load is further inboard than before. You could add weight to get the rocker back down to where it was but that sounds difficult and dangerous. Maybe you can juggle jacks...
Hey North7, I am obligated to mention that I anything I say is not in any official capacity, but as a fellow Bronco owner and off-road enthusiast and general fan of vehicle dynamics.
First thing I would point out is that the online tool can only do so much in approximating scrub. You really...
They aren't ideal, and I still kinda hate them, but honestly they will give better suspension performance than a spacer lift so if the goal is to wheel big tires without a super expensive high performance lift then its not the worst option. To be fair I think he also has a spacer lift too so...
The crazy thing is that Tesla might still weigh more than the Bronco. If not, I bet they are pretty dang close (since the Bronco isnt a featherweight.)
Off the clutch almost entirely, but I was between the gas and brake a lot. Brake on technical descents (while staying in gear) you can get the engine down to just several hundred RPM without stalling as long as its not demanding power. I used the gas quite a bit on the technical climbs mainly to...
We did have smart watches, looks like my wife only got it 10-12,000 steps. I wouldnt be surprised if you could hike the whole thing faster lol, though there definitely were a lot of simpler sections where we all rode together.
Yes, it is the high package. I found all of the camera views gave me very useful information, especially the birds eye in general and the front view when cresting hills. Despite this, I found it very hard to "trust" the cameras and did my best to keep visual on the spotter and/or the obstacle at...
I am 27, got the 4 Door for the overland/everyday utility. I love the look of both. I actually hate the look of the JL/JK two door, looks like a powerwheels but the Bronco nailed it, at least in stock form.
I eventually plan to have a functional long travel lift with at least 37's on it. That...
I'm sure it would make it, but I don't know if I would recommend it. The rubbing might hit something sensitive without armor. Most of our hits were on the belly skid plates, the rear control arm mounts and rear hitch/towhooks ( all pretty beefy), maybe one on the front bash plate. I don't think...
No issues with burning it up. The crawler gear is so low you just let it engage and control your speed with gas or brake. If you need to stop then just hit the clutch.
I tried splicing it together manually on my computer but it couldn't reconcile MP4 files from different phones, so I just did it online, and free generally means watermark...
You are probably right in general, but I really did use up every last bit of wheel travel. With squatch pkg it would have been picking up a tire slightly more often. With lockers its not a big deal, but I liked how stable this was. Now the real goal is to just throw 35's on the Badlands anyway...
