Anybody got a pix of what the wheel spotting camera view looks like? I have seen how the winch blocks the front view but Ford claims to have wheel spotting cameras. I didn't see that option yesterday on a BL- or I didn't know where to look.
After more studying I have decided on a Badlands. If I have to add better shocks to the BD that's typically a $4000 upgrade for a set of 2.5" Fox shocks for me to get the ride of the Bilstein's on the BL.
A BD mid package is $47865. The Badland with mid puts me at $53111.
Add 4k to the BD and I...
No soft top for me. The road noise from passing vehicles is bad. It's also black and absorbs heat which is passed through to the inside
On top of that I figure brush on the trail will rip the vinyl windows
I" of ground clearance makes no difference at all from my experience= 8 years of off road and rock crawling.
My XP Turbo has 30's. I might drag my skid plate on an obstacle that a friends rzr with 32's misses but it sure doesn't stop me. Now jumping from 30's to 35's = a 2.5" jump in clearance...
Tommy claimed the 35's ride worse than the 33's and worse than whatever is on his jeep. Everyone on this forum says the 35's ride BETTER than the 33's.....
4 door, 2.3, 33"s and vinyl top.
Vinyl top is hot. Get your head near it and it feels like standing up in a pop up canopy with your head near it's top. If you got a bald head you might get a burn. LOL. Vinyl top is noisy. When a semi comes up next to you it sounds like it's coming into the...
I tested a 4 door BL yesterday. Temp was 90. It had the soft top. It had been sitting in the sun for 4 or 5 hours. With the A/C on max cool it took a few minutes to cool down. No matter where I set the controls I never could get cool air to come out the rear vents. From what I see the best way...
I have no interest in cosmetics. 33"s look great on the BL. Main concern for me is ride comfort when on rocky trails and feedback to the steering wheel from those rocks
I got to drive a BL on 33"'s yesterday and it drove great. Took it down a gravel road and played with "rock crawl" mode a bit.
So the 35's are about 1" taller than the 33"s so you gain 1/2" of ground clearance.. If I jump up to 35"s what can I expect? more steering kickback on rocks? harder to...
That is correct. There is an annual fee and then for the months that you want to use it an additional charge. Freedom plan is $34.95 and then 14.95 in the months you turn it on. I suspend it during the months I am not fourwheeling

I have had a Garmin Inreach for 4 years. Every time we go offroad I turn it on (activate it). Haven't had to use it but every time I test it it works except for once. We were driving a trail between two tall rock walls and the signal couldn't get out but that was to be expected
No where near as good as a Miller or Lincoln.
I will not buy a HF winch. That's just what I need a cheap winch that overheats or breaks down when I need it the most.
Their generators are the same. Sure they work but don't like like the Honda's.

Sounds like fun! Awesome...
We have a vacation home in the Rockies. We will take it there and leave it all summer. We will use it to replace our side by side. We like to drive the 4wheel trails and explore. Also camping and fishing..
