On July 6 2024 my wife and I took possession of a 1 year old 2023 Badlands 4 door hard top with a 2.3 A10 power plant. Since my wife was a little girl, she had always wanted a bronco. When ford announced the return of the Bronco back in 2020, we made it a point to get one. After paying off...
Also, to add, the bronco is my wife's daily driver. So her appendix carrying isn't always a feasible thing thus my inquisition. (Has to dress for a job.)
With what I've seen here, and some poking around with Ford's "accessory ready" locations I have some ideas.
Let me lead with this. YOUR VEHICLE IS NOT A HOLSTER.
That being said, my wife and I have noticed there really isn't a good out of sight, yet easily accessible location for a small pistol. What has everyone done for their CCW setups in these things?
For the 2.3/2.7 discussion.
As a horsepower junkie, (own several cobra mustangs,) you really won't mind the 2.3/a10. You're not winning any drag races, but it keeps up quite well.
Also fwiw, you may benefit dropping the squatch package from the BL and putting wheels/shocks on it in the future...
I don't disagree. To be fair, it's not external, it's not hurting anything, and 98% of the time, the door will be closed and it won't be seen.
It's just wild to me seeing this. I've noticed it a lot on vehicles made in the past 8ish years. Dad's girlfriends jeep has thin paint on her tailgate...
My wife and I recently purchased a 23 4d bronco used. 16,400 on the ODO when we pulled it off the transport trailer. Officially had it a week and the "new" has wore off.
While cleaning today I noted on the inside of both driver doors the paint was thin.
Per Ford GSB 23-7003 it should be...
I work at a diesel shop in the rural Midwest. Needless to say we occasionally get some rich farmers that have some moldy money they want to get rid of...
Customer had us go through a compound turbo 12v he built years ago. Long story short it needed some work. We sent it off to Haisley Machine...
Glad I stumbled upon these! Wife and I have been going back and forth over fender badges.
I like the OE badges, she wanted the 66-77 script.
I think these are a nice meet in the middle. Will be ordering a set soon!
My wife is 5'7" and is also prone to slipping. (Even more unfortunately due to her hearing loss.) This sealed the deal for us ordered a set of used take offs earlier today!
As much as I love the look of auto steps, we live on gravel, and I haven't been impressed with other auto steps lifespans.
Wife ended up twisting my arm to go drive it some more. (took a lot of motivating I tell ya.)
I also ended up removing the tacky plastic stick on taillight covers.
Threw the seat cover in the rear, the dog in, and put another 40 miles on it travelling backroads!
I unfortunately live in a fairly rural area where broncos aren't that common. If they're around, nobody really modifies them. Ive got a few sets found for around $200, but they're 4+ hours away one way.
I've got a set on ebay found that'll cost the same, but be shipped to my door...
