I'd be worried about the calibration. Supposedly the IPMB can determine if a camera is out of alignment and there's a set of calibration mats that you aren't going to find on eBay.
Of course i can't remember where i saw all the possible fault codes, nor do i have workshop manuals on my...
I don't have my workshop manuals on this computer to recall exactly what priority levels the messaging system had.... but if I recall correctly the only level that won't attentuate audio is stuff like seatbelt chimes.
I'd lean towards the noise being generated by your phone rather than the...
I could write a novel about how much I hate Google Maps on Android Auto. Five of the paragraphs would be CONTINUE STRAIGHT CONTINUE STRAIGHT CONTINUE STRAIGHT because Google thinks I'm going to make a hard right turn off the freeway onto a 200ft dirt road.
I'm guessing not. Sync2 stored maps externally on an SD card. Sync3 and Sync4 store them internally. The non-nav Sync3 APIMs simply did not have enough storage for maps and your only option was to physically swap the APIM. I wouldn't be surprised if Sync4 was the same.
Given the Sync 4 APIM...
I'm not sure if the newer CoPilot is significantly different but at least on earlier Fords, it was the CCM that originally handled collision warning, and the IPMA arrived later to give enhanced capabilities (since CCM can't detect stopped cars or pedestrians). My Flex, for example, has the CCM...
Question for anyone without Lux package -- is the radar sensor in the bumper functional or decorative? I had a Chrysler rental with a fake radar sensor in the bumper...
What are the odds it's standard for collision avoidance, but a simple Forscan change + steering wheel control swap gives us...
For being a Detroit-based company, they don't seem to understand the cold.
Our local dealer was complaining because Ford sent them three Sports and none of them had heated seats -- a bit of a dealbreaker for most in Wisconsin. The Escape has them standard no less.
I guess that comes down to what level of ADAS you want on an F150.
Collision Warning / Adaptive Cruise Control requires the bumper radar, HUD, and steering wheel switches.
The lane assist, autohighbeam, pedestrian detection, and likely emergency braking all require the windshield/camera...
I'm in the Fox Valley area
Adding the standard adaptive cruise should be easy enough -- F150 owners have been doing it for years and we can easily find the correct AsBuilt values. The hope is to add the not-factory-available stop-and-go functionality as well.
Furthermore, I don't...
I can't wait to get our Bronco and start digging in.
I honestly wonder if it's possible to add Stop-and-Go cruise. All the hardware is present, it's just software. Unfortunately I fear the IPC won't have the necessary programming for it.
This weekend will be in the Flex, seeing if I can move...
Some situations, seemed like the Bronco's IFS gave it a little more traction like in test #2 (at the expense of durability compared to a SFA)
I had to rewind to compare just how exposed the Wrangler's underbody appeared compared to the Bronco. Caught me by surprise.
I can't dictate what my wife does, but she knows I always put 93 from Costco (E10) in my Flex for the performance. It costs the same as midgrade around here.
I'm in Wisconsin so most gas stations offer 87, 89, and 91 with 91 being ethanol-free for small engines.
If you do this, keep in mind it'll look weird at first. A little time in the sun smooths out the adhesive.
I'm on absolutely terrible hotel wifi -- here's a gallery from putting a rearview mirror in. Somewhere in there you can see how bad the vinyl looks when you apply it, versus how it...
Nice! I just put the same dashcam in my Flex to get a bit of use in to make sure I'll like one in the Bronco as well. I didn't like the adjustable clip it comes with so I had to 3D print a new one. OP, does your back camera seem a bit lower-resolution compared to the front? Both are labeled...
