There are numerous comments on this thread from people who are actually driving their Broncos and are telling us that second is too tall to start with from a dead stop. That is the part that doesn't appear to work. Now perhaps there's enough difference between say a 2-door BL with 4.70 gear...
It's not only a commuter, it would be my everything vehicle. It would suck to finally buy something you really really like and then leave it at home most of the time. If I needed to though then I would, but that may depend on actual consumotion between different trims. This is why I'm asking for...
The published GCWRs for some configurations suggest >4000lb tow rating for lighter trims, but nowhere near 7000. Those GCWRs only vary by drivetrain though - not by wheelbase or suspension type which should be the limiting factors on this vehicle - so they always did smell fishy. It really did...
@Broncolli Did this work for you?
Has anyone tried removing the second panel with the rack still on? I understand ypu can't do it with the rack fully installed, but it would be nice to only have to detach the fronts and loosen the rear clamps to gave the clearance for this. As opposed to...
Hopefully you get yours for the weekend, and please post some pics of the interior once you do. I have a Sandstone on order too and am curious about its look.
The larger the wheel, the more you pay for less rubber when you buy tires.
Also on mid(ish) sized trucks and SUVs 17" is usually about right. Even 18s are a bit on the bog side.
We're going to get diddly for our shitbox Cruze so I'll probably hang onto it and commute with it (7.0L/100km).until it blows up on me, which is likely in another few years. Will keep the kms on my Bronco down to start too.
All of that makes a lot of sense except for the fact that I am getting a manual, and am not considering anything different. I absolutely agree it's going to be a big increase on my fuel costs. A manual PHEV would be badass.
