I'm not going to lie, a lot of these are very, very good photos.
I usually don't expect that in a lot of forums.
I've been taking pictures off and on for 20 years, mostly street, documentary and some product stuff. Gotten paid for some past work, but it is mostly a hobby these days.
I use a...
Daily driver for 99% of the time.
I hope to use it for road trips, going to trails and camping.
I would like to join some groups to do some overlanding but haven't seriously looked.
Same here.
I've only driven manual, and while I don't mind driving our Automatic around town or in a pinch, as a daily driver, I don't know if I'll be able to function if I am never able to drive a manual again.
That's one reason why I will cancel my Mach-E reservation, I don't think I can...
My wife and I went to the LA Auto Show a couple years back and the Hybrid Crosstrek was there. I REALLY wanted to like that car, but the trunk was taken up by the battery by quite a bit. So that was another reason why we decided against it even though it had a bit more power.
A WRX powered...
I never really liked Jeeps. I liked 4Runners, but they are getting long in the tooth.
I really liked the FJ Cruiser and have always liked Tacomas but not enough to own one. I've mostly been into sportier cars/hatchbacks.
Now that I have a family, and want to go outdoors more, and didn't...
For the release of Toyota's GT86/Scion FR-S, Toyota was working with aftermarket companies/tuners and provided them with schematics and I think in even some cases, gave them donor cars to test fit equipment.
So at release, there were some parts.
Same with things like the iPhone. Dummy blanks...
It's definitely...interesting looking. Very busy. Definitely going after the 4Runner here. I have a lot of respect for Hyundai, but I'm not interested. I think a lot of people will be though.
But I'd like to reiterate some of the comments here and I'm glad that the Bronco is designed the way it is.
Honestly I have no connection to the Bronco brand. The only thing I associate it with is OJ.
However, I've always loved Land Cruisers, and Land Rovers and I think the new Bronco's design invokes that feeling of getting out there more than any modern vehicle. It has a ton of character, utility...
I like the cluster, but I'm a sucker for digital gauges. From what I've seen they have a lot of info on them.
I do wish it was fully digital though, it looks kinda strange with the analog? speedo.
I'd love an electric Bronco, but if it would have to get 500miles a charge and there'll have to be small battery packs or generators for overlanding or going far out.
Then there'll have to be quick charging stations on the way to the trails.
So I think it will be a while for electric to take...
I have a Mach-E reservation too. And I will also most likely cancel it for the Bronco. I didn't think there were many cross-shoppers between the two vehicles.
Anyway, I would hope that Ford would go in with the no hassle/no haggle all online for EVERY car. As long as there is a drop down for...
I posted in another thread, there's no real substantial reason to go Big Bend, unless you really want a certain color that isn't available in Base, and you really want/need the Mid Package, which is an additional (at this time estimated at) $1600.
This color looks acceptable here in this light. If the color is this, or a bit darker, I'm in.
The "teal" color that sometimes comes out in pics is a deal breaker. It reminds me of the Teal Metallic of the 90's F150s.
Made in China doesn't specifically bug me. Global production is going to be even more global in the coming decades.
We're going to be having majority made Indian and African made tech parts and manufacturing relatively soon.
However, what does bug me is that there were in fact issues with...
Total price is between 40-50.
Big Bend will be right around 40k
I'm also looking at the Badlands if our financial situation changes. That will be around 50k.
But the exact number really depends on the actual prices, and options list. And it also depends on xplan, and delivery.
I'll put...
I'm 98% sure Area51 is my main choice, however I think I'd be happier with a Anvil or Nardo Grey instead.
But the more I think about it I do like the unique nature of Area51; I like how it's offset with all black wheels and the black fender flares.
