Yeah. I had a FOST and drove a lot of RS. I know there's potential from these little 4s. Partly why I'm trying to avoid adding weight to this thing. I'm thinking the weakest part of this vehicle will be the transmission. I will try a few runs on 4h and see if I can get better numbers. My base...
Never thought a Bronco would be getting those numbers with just the mods you've done. Starting to really think I purchased the wrong version. Also as much fun at the 7mt is I know that is slowing me down a good bit too. Need to really learn to launch it and stop lifting on shifts.
Even the BMW owners manuals in the mid-90s still mentioned it. But I'd give it a go just for the turbo noises and these DI engines seem to gunk up more even though I haven't had any issues with any of mine.
Haha can't get my dad to get a new truck because of the same reason. He likes to be able to work on it himself. Been pretty much trouble free.
Don't worry about the 2.3 It is in Trucks, Mustangs, Focus, Lincolns, kit cars. It is so similar to the 2.0 which is in everything.
Used only Mobil 1 in my 2.0 ecoboost and changed it once a year. Engine was clean when I got rid of my ST.
Now in the 2.3 I use Liquimoly Molygen. Haven't sent a sample to Blackstone yet with this one.
I have ProCal. Like it for the rev matching and the engine start/stop disabling. Good power increase and I recently started putting a few gallons of race fuel in which is putting me around 93 octane (my own calculations, so who knows what it really is). Seems like I got another bump in power...
Hey Caleb, Congrats! How much for an Injen dry CAI and Corsa catch can for the 2.3. And can you source me a catch can for an 2016 Escape 1.6? everything shipped to 92374. Thanks.
