Yeah I think the mpg will be terrible but probably still better than the Jeep 392. With the weight almost matching the F-150 Raptor and the Aerodynamics of a brick the mpg will suffer for sure.
Well I am going under the assumption if they say over 400 they mean it will stay in the 400s if they wanted it to be 550 they would say over 500, but anything is possible I guess.
I wouldn't complain about those numbers and yes it would definitely be enough power and I would order it without any issues; however, I hope it is more like 435 hp and 490 torque 🙂.
My understanding is that they said over 400 and we are now speculating how much over 400. I guess we shall see soon. Technically it could be 401 or 499 🙂.
Yeah the Bronco Raptor is only about 200 lbs lighter than the F-150 Raptor which is why it ought to have some decent power. It's almost April and they still haven't released the numbers. I wonder what is going on?
Yeah, I hope so. This engine must be tuned a little different than the other 3.0 engines in Ford‘s line up since the numbers weren’t released immediately when the Raptor Bronco got unveiled. I can’t wait, today is the last day in February 🙂.
The 494 HP and 631 Tq comes from a hybrid combination, I wonder what the curb weight would be then? I am guessing they have capability to squeeze 435-440 HP and 485-490 ft lbs of torque from the 3.0, but who knows it will probably be less than that. Maybe the 400 and 415 are more accurate. I...
I feel your pain on that one my friend 🙂. Even if they had that one right now I wouldn't be able to afford it nor pay for the terrible mpg it would get. At least with the 3.0 the mpg should be fair instead of downright awful 😂😂.
Speaking about the Bronco R V8. There is that new 6.8l V8 that Ford was talking about building, maybe this can make it to the R version. The 6.8l would probably do 500 or more in horsepower and torque naturally aspirated.
Imagine the mpg on that hahaha. The ZL1 is too nice. I like the C8 too but can't fit in it. I'm 6'6. It would be nice if GM made a Z28 for 2023 to compete with the GT500 and maybe put that LT5 ZR1 engine in it 🙂.
Yeah it's hard to quantify that s
Well I think there will probably always be a moron that will break anything hahaha. It's hard to quantify that kind of stuff. Maybe they can limit the speed in certain modes or something like that.
I agree 100% there are design considerations to take in place and there are limitations as you said. I also agree on the horsepower being lower rather than higher if it is going to sacrafice torque. I would rather they max out the torque. I do believe 440 hp and 490 ft lbs wouldn't hurt this...
Well we will get what we will get and will have to roll with it hahaha. To me it will be plenty for everything you really need but I always say extra power is Bonus. I had a Camaro SS and thought it was great power until I got the ZL1 lol. I can just imagine a high power Bronco ripping through...
I doubt the Bronco will compete with the 392 Wrangler in that respect. Due to Bronco being so much heavier than the 392 Jeep it would need to make 530 HP and 530 TQ to compete with the 470 HP 470 TQ light weight 392 Wrangler.
I believe the Bronco weighs more I think the ranger is roughly about 5200 lbs and the Bronco is roughly about 5800 lbs. This could be another speculative reason why Bronco may get more juice. Not sure why Ford is waiting on these numbers. Maybe they are still tuning it 🙂.
