These are for the rears, so they go behind the rear tires onto the rear bumper, so side steps are a non-factor. As for drilling, look at the back of the ends of your bumper and see if you have screws that look similar to the pattern of the holes on those splashguards. My FE has zero holes or...
Has anyone installed these mud flaps on a First Edition? I just got the flaps yesterday and went to install them today...then noticed, the rear bumper wings on my FE do not have any screws to attach them to the bumper, like their instructions show. I felt behind the wing and didn't even feel any...
I would think that the Technical Data Plans would be restricted to contracted manufacturers of the Hard Top...Webasto in this instance. Non contract holders probably need to reverse engineer on their own.
I just noticed today that my fog light switch does not turn on the fogs when the headlight dial is set to "Auto". Anyone else experiencing this after connecting and making the Forscan changes? The factory fog light button will work when the headlight dial is in any other position except "Auto"
Received my pigtails yesterday and connected them this morning. Took just a few minutes to connect and swap out the factory fog button assembly. Forscan went smooth except for when I went into IPC. Somehow, I ended up resetting the IPC rather than going into the IPC configuration. It didn't seem...
I have an AWE exhaust which uses a clamp for the tip. Looking at pictures of the Magnaflow, I'm not seeing what clamp you are referring to. From the pics on Magnaflow's website, I don't see how their tip can be extended out past the bumper.
Edit to add: I was confused with the picture at...

Actually, everything is wired and working, except the fogs. I left those unwired, so I can pigtail them to the factory fog button. S2's are wired to the upfitters and the Squadrons will be using the pigtails. I might go ahead and swap out the fog button assembly this weekend and make the forscan...
Sweet! I've got all lights wired, except for the fogs in my triple light kit. I just need to swap the fog light button assembly, forscan it, fish for the factory wire and use the pigtails.
OK, I try to stay up to date much as possible with this loooooooong thread, but this "tick" sound is new to me. Is this supposed to be a precursor to an eventual dropped valve, that people are noticing? My EF06A21211131119 seems to be flanked by failed engines. I now have just over 8700 miles on...
