Excellent write up! The blind spots in the FJ cruiser definitely requires the driver to be attentive in parking lots. My FJ has over 200k miles and is currently out of commission…blown head gasket. This is the first major issue through all the years of ownership…2007 TRD, bought brand new the...
The way I have my seat positioned, this is the same view of my hood from the driver’s seat. If there were any hood reflection, I wouldn’t even know.
You can call/email ARB and ask if they are an authorized dealer. Manufacturers usually set MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) for dealers. If they are not an authorized dealer, then you can decide if you want to take the risk on a knock-off, or no warranty.
Best sound is going to be very subjective. A great sounding exhaust at idle can sound terrible at different RPM ranges. The in cabin sound will sound different from how it sounds outside the vehicle. Sticking 2k RPM on a city street to maintain speed will sound different than coasting at 2k rpm...
I received my rack around 3 weeks ago. It’s been sitting on my living room floor, as I’m due to get the rear shell of my hardtop replaced through warranty…it has some warping. The dealer is still trying to work out the logistics, so I decided to go ahead and put the rack together. I test fitted...
They'll all stay and flaunt their ICE. Looks like only new ICE will be banned, so all existing ICE will still be ok, and the values on those will probably skyrocket. In addition, manufacturers will probably start pairing the smallest battery required to be considered a hybrid and be Ca-compliant.
Thanks guys! Got the hoist system installed over the weekend. The rear shell of my hardtop is due to be replaced under warranty for some warping issues, so will put the lift to the test after I get the vehicle back from the dealer.
Just put together the pulley frame and it looks way bigger than the instruction photos. Even with the frame collapsed to its smallest size, the foam blocks overhang the front and rear roof of the hardtop shell. In the instructions, the foam blocks appear to rest on top of the roof of the shell...
Did you use a hoist to lift the hardtop shell to install the Pak Rax brackets, or did you prop up one side at a time just high enough to access the bolts? I will likely have to do the install on my own as well.
This will be highly location dependent. Cities with dense charging infrastructure will have much higher EV adoption peeps. In Socal, the number of EVs on the road is growing very fast. I would say the majority of EV owners I know did not buy them bc they think they "green". They are not for...
Very nice! I have an old Rola carrier that I used on my FJ. It's been stowed at the back of the garage for about a decade now. I'll need to look into a swing-to-side adapter and see how the Rola is on the Bronco.
