So it's not garbage unless you properly lift and calibrate it and most Wranglers on the road are either stock or lifted half-assed, and I haven't ever driven an SFA vehicle that wasn't just "adequate" on road--at best, which includes the AEV Brute which was supposed to have been lifted and tuned...
SFA is trash on road. It's not a secret. Anyone who says otherwise is not telling you the truth.
I will also state that a "base" with road tires will have better on-road manners than a Squatch with gigantic MTs.
Floaty long travel off-road suspensions can give you a pretty good ride quality...
The reason you don't see massive engines like that in shorter front end vehicles like the new Bronco and the JL (think of the Hemi aftermarket conversions) from the factory is that there isn't enough room around the engine for effective crumpling of the front end in a collision.
Toyota hasn't released anything interesting in a while and the JL doesn't blow my skirt up.
If I can get a base with a Sasquatch package, I doubt I'll need much else.
I made a reservation on a Base and my dealer started spamming me with calls and emails about building a Bronco Sport.
It was a WTF moment.
They claimed everything is fixed, but it seems the reservation model is a total shitshow.
Still haven't gotten the build email.
Pre-ordered a 2-door base.
Immediately got spammed by dealer with quotes for a Sport:|
Anyway once that got sorted found this place and will try to figure out how to mod a vehicle I don't even own, yet.
