Does anybody have a template to mount an amp in the B&O factory sub area?
I'm planning to remove the 8" sub and place my amp there. I'll have a 10 or 12" sub in a box in the cargo area.
There is a vendor that offers a premade amp rack for this spot, but I can't find that info.
I'm planning to add to/replace some of the tools in the glove box tool kit. I'm skeptical of the quality. I'm thinking a good Torx set and few metric sockets, 10mm, 12mm, channel locks, etc.
Any other suggestions? I'm not looking for a full on trial kit, just a quality kit while out and about.
Cool. I have the OBX with running boards but I'm planning on larger tires and switching over to rock slides with a step.
What size tires and do you have a lift?
I used the "listen & compare" function on Crutchfield (I have no idea how accurate it is) and I ended up purchasing the Hertz DSK 165.3's. I've had Focal, Polk and Image Dynamics in the past and liked all of them. I'll report back once my install is complete.
I thought I saw a version of an add on step that will mount to the factory rock slides with a few inch drop. I did find IAG makes a version that sits 2" below the top of the factory slide:
IAG 2" below
Are there any other options that are a little bit lower?
Damn....amazing write up. And some serious patience to get this point. I'm working on a similar upgrade and was already dreading the rattle battle. Your work will help make it easier.
Curious if you can list out everything you had installed? I'm planning a similar system but probably with an AudioControl amp. Still unsure on the speakers.
Did you keep the sub in the stock location?
IMO, 2" painters tape is easier than that template. You can easily use 2 pieces of 2" tape placed HORIZONTAL rather than vertical I'm the picture. Then place a base strip horizontal as the bottom guide.
Make sure you Bronco is on level ground when you do it. It's pretty easy pessy.
If I get really close and know that there are imperfections to look for.
I considered sanding, but figured I'd break them. They are a little delicate in hand, but are fine once installed.

Matched my USAA APR with a local credit union that I use as my main bank
Matched a really good offer from CarMax for my trade in. Yes, I could have gotten more if I sold it myself but not worth my time.

I've ordered the JCR cargo MOLLE panels and was going to order the cargo tray that attaches to them. Then I started thinking about making a DIY tray that I attach to the side MOLLE panels. I'm going to try to fabricate some kind of lock that connect the tray to the child seat anchors on the...
I'm considering a DIY rear cargo shelf to keep valuable somewhat secure. I know, if they want it bad enough nothing will stop them. I don't want to place a wall up against the back. So I am wondering if there is any way to lock the rear seats from folding forward, allowing a thief to get into...
