Dumb question, but how are sales down overall vs last year? I would imagine production was still lacking in Q1 of 2021 due to covid and didn't the chip shortages exist even then.
That's all I look at as well. At this point I treat sales as WIP. I know the term is not used from a manufacturing perspective to represent what I call it, but the sales will take care of themself at some point. But everything starts with production. If Ford can maintain 13-15K a month, we are...
If you look at the production for the plant in total, I think they max out at 20-25,000 vehicles a month. I don't think there is any way Ford cuts the production for the Ranger to less than 6K a month. Even if there are no issues with hard top, I don't see how they can crank out more than 15K...
I am not sure I am following your math. The total reservations was 125K. You are saying 45K have been sold which leaves 80K. If Ford produces 10-15K a month then they should be able to fullfill the orders by August. As for me, if 190K reservations were made as of Q1 2021 and 160K of those were...
They have sold 35K through Dec, but they had produced 50K. I would assume maybe 10K of the 50K are not related to orders as they are used as mannequins or for the Bronco Off Rodeos. That leaves 85K orders outstanding, which takes us through August at the earliest to fulfill.
So do you think the 160K is through March of 2021 then? If you had to guess, how many reservations were made those first two months in 2020 (Jul-Aug ???).
I think I get it. So at this point, if I don't hear anything on Thursday (if that is still what they are doing) then that means my bronco won't be in this batch of ~12.5K-15K Broncos. My original reservation was in Oct of 2020. I have a Badlands 2.7 hardtop with tow package on order, which I...
So are you saying that for some of the Bronco's that are scheduled to be built from now until the week of 3/28 (the last week shown on this schedule) that the person with the order may not have been contacted yet? To be clear, I can get an email this Thursday and they can give me a production...
Yeah, I guess I'm still confused. As of today, I just have an order so there have been no updates for my bronco. Let's just say on Thursday (1/20/22) I get an email confirmation that my Bronco is scheduled to be built. Does this mean the earliest build date I can get for it to be built is 4/4/22...
So all we know is they are building on these weeks. We don’t know what the quantity is? I don’t want to sound like a smart ass, but how is this helpful? Isn’t it safe to assume they are producing vehicles every week?
