That’s probably why they sent me the baby picture today.
Question for anyone in NJ who has completed their purchase… how was everything handled regarding tax and registration?
I ran the VIN again on the NHTSA site when other people had theirs getting cleared, and mine was also resolved. Best guess is that they did actually install the clips in the 10 weeks it sat on Dirt Mountain, but either Ford was behind on paperwork, or they were waiting for the fix to be approved.
I think I tied your worst case. 18 days. PCON since 7/8, but switched to Actual Placement of Car this morning. How long did yours take from that point?
Can you please keep an eye out for 7078? Thank you!
Check your VIN here: https://www.nhtsa.gov/
If the clips were already installed, your VIN should show no recalls.
If they weren’t installed, tell your dealership to get the parts now.
If I hadn’t gone through the process of ordering a Wrangler when they told us to give up all our options or get bounced to 2024, only to abandon it the day it arrived on the lot bc it was the day I got my ”scheduled“ email, I’d very likely also have looked for something else.
It’s a nice...
Did you have your dealer follow the steps described in this thread?

There’s a very good possibility the clip was installed in the 10 weeks they sat with their thumbs up their asses between building it and shipping it. But I guess that isn’t an approved service yet, so the stop sale stays in effect.
Depends on whether or not my discouraging seat belt has been fixed, and I’m actually allowed to buy my Bronco, or if it’s still sitting on Chapman’s lot collecting rust.
PCON Wilmington DE means it’s waiting to be unloaded from the rail car right? I’ve been there since 7/8. (Not that it really matters when my Bronco gets to Chapman since I cant buy it.)
We’re in the same boat, same week. My blend was 4/11, modules and tear tag 4/12. Finally “built” 6/28 and in transit now. Been waiting since July 2020.
