I think it's awesome. Go for it, man. 40s are fantastic for serious wheeling on a truck with this kind of footprint.
It was my first interest, actually. I thought about going with a base and just ripping the hell out of it to turn it into a beast on 40s or something even bigger, but I've...
What the hell are you talking about? I daily drive a Wrangler TJ on 38s. It has a lot of suspension upgrades. It drives like a dream. Only reason I stopped at 38 was the wheelbase of a TJ is too short to go any bigger.
40s on a long wheelbase like a 4-door Bronco is a highly desirable...
This is consumerism, not altruism. He is free to buy a Bronco and do whatever he wants with it. To him this is his property's highest and best use, and that makes it an automatically correct decision. What could have been for someone else is irrelevant.
Got the email today. After an interminable 12+ months (nearly 13) from the night I watched the reveal, immediately reserved with a thumping heart, and tracked daily via bronco6g and others. It is finally coming.
My 4-door Bronco Badlands/Sasquatch (obviously) 2.7L Lux package is scheduled to...
Scheduling challenges, delays, frustrating communications. It was my dream to drive my Bronco around this summer with the top and doors removed.
Today, that dream became real.
Well, as a final update... 4-door it is! And I changed the color to carbonized gray, and went with the soft top. Let the chips fall where they may. Buying a JK for my daughter Friday, two Jeeps in the driveway to have fun with this summer as we look forward to our beautiful new Broncos.
Yeah, I must have missed that, but my original order was 2-door hard top. I was considering 2-door soft top to speed things up. I hadn't paid any attention to the soft tops because it wasn't my preference. A 4-door soft top would possibly speed things up it would seem.
Thanks everyone... things are still up in the air but as each day marches along the odds of moving out of the 2-door diminish.
Nothing has changed on my end in terms of being torn. I am definitely, without even a shred of doubt, positively in the "love the look of the 2-door" camp. 4-door...
I truly don't know if he's right or wrong. He doesn't either.
The one thing I (and they) feel confident about is switching the 2 door to a soft top will improve the odds. Given I wanted the modular hard top anyway, I'm good with the soft top for now, and get the hard top I wanted next year...
33s are not in the cards for ANY truck I own, especially not the Bronco. 35s are the bare minimum just to start the conversation, and 37s are at the bottom of my comfort zone. I'd really be happy with 40s... two or four door.
Right, for the big rocks and especially out west the 4-door wheelbase is great. If you want to twist and wind around trails and rocks in the NE it's tough to fit it. But people wheel 4-door Wranglers and even Gladiators around here. That said the Gladiators have a tough time of it simply due...
Thanks everyone... it is tough, part of me wants to call them back and push my order back to 2 door.
If I didn't have a 2-door Wrangler I think going with a 2-door Bronco would be a 100% no-brainer.
My interest in the 4-door is the kind of wheeling I'd like to do with it. I live in the...
Ugh, every time I look at a 2-door now I feel sick... I really wish Ford did a better job on the back half of the 4-door! I hope it's as amazing a truck as we all hope.
