On my 325i, the windows and sunroof can be closed by using the metal key (sides out from the fob) in the driver's door lock. Turn it clockwise and hold until all the glass closes.
Or you can get IPNA and program the closing feature to activate.
Rear door that swings open, folds down, and has an electric glass window in it.

Agree 100% with taking care of your own stuff philosophy. However, a lot of people just don't do mechanical activities and pay professionals to do it for them. Nothing wrong with that.
