I ordered without test driving obviously considering March 19th was the deadline. I've test driven my dealer's 4-door soft top Wild Track I think it is. I was not overly impressed TBH; mostly due to the automatic.
But I have a BD 2-door on order with a manual transmission, which is a...
You can read in this thread and other threads that I've stated the engineering reality is a multi-sectional hardtop is going to leak. People have been freaking out just about drips. I've also stated that the MIC top is designed to a price point that the engineers expect owners to remove the top...
TBH, I've never seen a MIC top in person. All I have seen are some pictures of tops on my computer and phone. The OP's pics here hardly look any different from MIC Ver 1.0. Reading this thread, the whining is MIC Ver 1.2 rather than Ver 2.0.
Everyone expects the seams to split and the top...
It's not a giant incandescent light bulb than needs to retain either a halogen gas or a vacuum to operate. All non-incandecent and halogen-bulb automobile headlights are vented.
I'll take any version of the MIC top. Sorry, I really just don't get what the issue is. A bunch of whiners have delayed production of 60,000 Broncos.
Let's just get on with it.
I've never once done a Blackstone analysis. Modern oils in modern engines do not need Jiffy Lube oil change schedules. Automotive engineers and manufacturers do not have a conspiracy against their customers and make up service schedules that shorten the life of a new car.
Just a pet peeve...
I'm no EB expert. Quick research shows the '66 EB was a roof and doorless roadster for $2,200 1966 dollars; about $18,500 in 2021. I can't quickly find original pricing by trim, but the Ranger and Sport packages back in the day added a roof and doors and upleveled upholstery. Estimating those...
What people who have not driven a recent manual transmission car of light truck in the past 15 years or so need to understand is with the advent of computer controlled throttles, in first gear in traffic, a manual trans car will happily idle along in first gear. There is no more feathering the...
If I wanted a meticulous top interior liner, I would have ordered an effing Land Rover. The original Bronco and the later models had a top that kept heavy rain out of the cabin. That's my level of expectation. I'd have taken the MIC V 1.0 top. BFD. It's a Bronco for God's sake, not a...
