  1. Motor bay space 2.3 vs 2.7 world of difference .

The 2.3L is about as messy in the plumbing design as well. Good thing modern cars don't need much servicing of the engine.
  2. Nice weld!

Not one person here has explained why it is a bad weld. It looks a little shitty, but no one has shown where the weld did not properly penerate the metal of both sections. One...two... three... LET'S ALL PANIC!!!!!
  3. Nice weld!

Good lord, the Bronco is not a nuclear waste containment vessel. The weld is just fine. OP don't take that back to make a warranty claim, save yourself the embarrassment.
  4. Motor bay space 2.3 vs 2.7 world of difference .

The benefits of an in-line engine, better heat control and access to the engine.

Fiberglass is classified as a (pay attention now) fiber-reinforced p-l-a-s-t-i-c. Glass fibers are not plastic; they are glass. Epoxy resin IS a plastic, which when used to make a fiber reinforced plastic part, the part is an epoxy plastic... Have fun gentlemen.
  6. UPDATED #3: My first mechanical issue! Led me to driving a 2dr BL.

It's all good. I agree with you, it's probably the electrically-activated parking brake system. The OP mentioned he smelled cooked brake pads. At 2,100 miles I'd say the pads have bedded by now and the adhesive has heat cured, but if the parking brake shoes (I'm assuming the parking brake...

I think we are arguing nothing. The binding resin is what makes the part plastic. There are many different classes of plastic resins that are used to make fiber-reinforced plastic parts; epoxy resins are one type of plastic used. So if an automotive part is fiber-reinforced plastic and the...
  8. UPDATED #3: My first mechanical issue! Led me to driving a 2dr BL.

Stupid insults aside, you wrote: "Its gotta be related to the electric ebrake system bc I think our disc brakes are powered by engine/hydaulic vs power/electric on the 2.7 engines. So its not likely that its related to the disc brakes unless you got an air bubble in the hydraulic brake line and...

So you're just making stuff up, right?
  10. Nice weld!

Right, Jeep puts bolts there... ;)
  11. Nice weld!

It's interesting. So the forward section (left section in the pic) is part of the windshield header and the aft section is part of the roll bar structure. It looks like to me the aft roll bar section slides into the windshield header and then is tack-welded at the oval opening on the header...
  12. Nice weld!

On Monday morning after a long weekend...

Epoxy is a thermosetting plastic, it is not a thermoplastic material; once it cures it can't reheated and reformed into a new shape. "RESINS FOR REINFORCED PLASTIC MOLDING Thermosetting resins are primarily used in the reinforced molding process... Diallyl phthalate, silicone, phenolic...
  14. Nice weld!

Ugly doesn't mean it is not a good weld.
  15. Bronco vs. Mustang. Room for Two Horses in This Corral?

Wait until they finish with "adjusting" gasoline prices... LOL
  16. Capable vs modular bumper - BD

If you placed an order by 3/19/21, OR were a reservation holder prior to 3/19/21 you are elligible for model year 2021 price protection. That means if you place the same order of Black Diamond in MY 2022 that is exactly the same as a MY 2021 order, you will get the Model year 2021 price. The...

Fiberglass (i.e. the trademarked name) as used in the construction of boats, motorhomes, or corvettes for example, is the substrate used with an epoxy resin to form (construct) the part. The epoxy resin is what makes it a plastic, not the glass fiber substrate; the glass fiber substrate makes...
  18. MIC 2.0 Top blew off (forgot to latch)! Pics of damage and material / construction

Fiberglass is an epoxy... A cool word that embraces a broad range of products.
  19. Would you sell your Bronco for $85,000?

In my state, tax is 4.15%. Tags are $65 and title is $15. That would leave over $43K profit on my build. I'd have to think about that pretty hard.
