Totally agree. There is way too much going on here to make a replacement flare that looks right with the existing fenders. The flare contour line, the numerous holes/locations and the leading edge on the door would seem to preclude an aftermarket flare that will deal with those constraints...
Havenāt seen a Raptor yet, so hard to say how firm the flares are, but my point was if you make a little contact it isnāt going to ruin your garage, truck or day. i certainly wasnāt suggesting to āpower It inā!
this is a critical point, if OP touches either side it wonāt be on metal body work (or he missed by 6-8 inches!) itāll be on the flare. If he drives this off road at all, there are going to be plenty of other scuffs on this flares already. And the flare wonāt damage the garage door frame either.
Thatās going to be tight. Tip in the drivers side mirror and you get an extra 0.6ā. Doesnāt seem like much but thatās an 8% increase in available wiggle room!
Iāve got a bunch of blue tape down on my floor to convince my wife that sheāll be able to park her new Defender next to my Braptor...
as someone else stated the mirrors are manual, but it doesnāt matter. The outside edge of the mirrors look well inside of the outside edge of flare/tire.
No need to fold them in to increase clearance. Problem solved!
Correction: Per Ford media website, the flares are at 85.7ā and its 86.9ā...
Since the doors sit around six inches inside the outer edge of the flares there will be a little more rom to get in and out of the rig than the 86ā width implies. But there may be no getting around squeezing by the flares before getting in or after getting out.
this āinsetā will be a big...
@da_jokker whe. I went up a couple weeks back. The easy way was closed. The trail up from Fordyce staging area was open. The very top
was blocked by a little snow, but thatās gotta be gone now
Looks like those bolt holes are about right. Not sure, but it looks like at least two more bolts into the top āC-barā.
there is a thread in the Raptor area of the forum on parts, that are becoming available. Itās hit and miss so far with whatās been published, but Iām guessing this cross...
I went for Code Orange. Its unique to the Raptor and think itās going to really make the flares āpopā. It seemed like they were getting lost in the darker colors.
Seriously, it will look fantastic whatever you choose
FWIW Iāve been priority code 01 since late April and still unscheduled, but donāt think any Braptors have been (newly) scheduled since then. Lots of previously scheduled Braptors weāre pushed back during that time though. My āDealer saidā all four of their allocations are now priority 1 and...
I know nothing about the line, but so many parts at every stage of assembly on the Braptor are different than other Broncos, it would seem to make sense (to me) to just crank out large batches of BRaptors. But as I said, I know nothing.
Seems to me if you already want a 4dr/AT/V6/High Badlands (non-SAS) and plan to spend money to upgrade if to make if beefier, youāve got about a $15k ābeefyā budget to play with vs BRaptor. IF you can find a dealer to sell you a 2023 Braptor for MSRP.
For that 15k you get a lot of stuff (Itās...
Sure, but it takes two to tango.
Under the assumption that the dealer wants to actually run an ongoing business theyāre going to accept what a customer will pay. Otherwise theyāre not a dealer theyāre a car collector.
what interests me more from this whole ADM thing is why Ford doesnāt...
2 of course! Thus the marginal price for a Bronco Raptor today is about 50k over MSRP for cash and carry (actually I think this will be cash and wait like the rest of us) FOB Casper, WY
If they donāt, someone else will.
