Driving in a parking garage I was at a 5 degree incline and 5 degree decline, noise never went away. Going to replace transmission oil with synchro shift II and ensure it’s to the proper level, and send a sample to blackstone. I have a feeling the damage may already be done, but we’ll see.
No removable top, however assuming they keep the roll down rear glass, if you have all the windows and rear glass down, it's a pretty decent proxy. That said, not trading my Bronco assuming I can get my 7sp manual sorted.
I’m going to replace my transmission oil with this before I have them completely tear down the transmission. It still meets ford spec. I’ll post some pics of the old fluid and let y’all know if it gets rid of the noise...
They do zero, they say contact your dealer. I think they were basically just gathering info to see which vehicles it was affecting before they issued the TSB.
Mine said the same, at first they said tech couldn’t duplicate the noise. I made them ride with me, “oh that? That’s just the synchros, that’s normal, even if it’s not they’re not been a redesign, so it wouldn’t help to replace the trans .” Seems like he was right about that last part.
Does anyone have what TSB number this is, so we can point our dealers in the right direction? Also, they seem to just be replacing the 5th and 6th synchronizer rings, are the replacements a different design? Or did the originals just fail for some reason?
Has anyone replaced the transmission oil? I’ve heard the transmissions in the mustang have basically the same problem and it eliminates the noise.

Absolutely, I’m waiting for a fix from ford. I was mainly talking about people that have sworn ford off completely, or won’t even drive their Broncos because of the noise.
My transmission has made the noise since I got out last December, took it in, they said it was fine. It shifts just fine, if it stops performing then I’ll take it in again. I don’t get everyone freaking out over a noise, it still works perfectly, at least mine does.
Mine makes the same noise, no issues with function. There is no difference in design of the MT that they’re making now, they’ll most likely make the same noise, really no point in getting a replacement. Drive it until you have a problem.
