I’m not the person who got the replacement, I have just heard enough stories that I know it is exceedingly likely the noise will return. Not if, but when.

Careful with the sunroof, my Volvo just did the same thing, they told me the drains were clogged, couldn’t be cleaned so has to be replaced for 1k not covered under warranty due to it being “outside influence”. I argued with them enough and they graciously “good willed” it.

Apparently there is, ford doesn’t allow a reasonable amount of time (which equates to what they pay) for each job. Hard to get people when they don’t get compensated appropriately.

I’m “lucky” I guess? Mine makes the noise at any and all times regardless of temperature.

At least I thought so, no longer taking transmission work, booked through April. Now to call other dealers,

Completed the transmission fluid change with Syncro Shift II, meets Ford’s specs. Unfortunately, zero difference. Didn’t see any flakes.

Unfortunately, I don’t think it was just a bad batch, we have reports from people with ‘21’s ‘22’s and I think 23’s with the noise.

I called once the TSB came out and they were eager to do the service. Remember, I took it in May, 7 months before the TSB came out and turned out he was right about a replacement transmission not fixing the problem.

I took delivery of mine Christmas Eve ‘21. I noticed the noise in February. Took it to the dealer in May, they called and said come pick it up, tech couldn’t replicate the noise, I should say mine made noise whether warmed up or not. I got in my bronco, immediately made the sound, drive around...

For those of us planning to keep our broncos 🤷‍♂️, and if it gets Ford to pay attention I’m ok with that.

I think Ford pretty much figured out that it’s the 5th and 6th synchro rings. The question is what is the permanent fix.

I agree, I don't think any of us notice it above 3rd, but I think it's due to the engine noise drowning it out, but I'm not certain.

See what kind, and amount any metal particles are present, would help indicate what parts are wearing most and if they are present in large enough quantities to damage the rest of the transmission. If you go to blackstone’s website, they have a sample analysis.

I have the fluid ready to go, just haven’t had time over the holidays. Hope to sometime this week. I’ll post pics of the fluid and the analysis when I get it.
