Iām not the person who got the replacement, I have just heard enough stories that I know it is exceedingly likely the noise will return. Not if, but when.
Careful with the sunroof, my Volvo just did the same thing, they told me the drains were clogged, couldnāt be cleaned so has to be replaced for 1k not covered under warranty due to it being āoutside influenceā. I argued with them enough and they graciously āgood willedā it.
Apparently there is, ford doesnāt allow a reasonable amount of time (which equates to what they pay) for each job. Hard to get people when they donāt get compensated appropriately.

See what kind, and amount any metal particles are present, would help indicate what parts are wearing most and if they are present in large enough quantities to damage the rest of the transmission. If you go to blackstoneās website, they have a sample analysis.
