For specifics, and I guess it’s more than fake ass engine noise but this is from the CAN map of the Bronco. ANC (Active Noise Control) has been in use since 2015 with Ford vehicles.
ACM is the Audio Control Module and DSP is the Digital Signal Processor (B&O Amp)
I had bought some door sill PPF early on and when I went to put it on I noticed it (only 500 miles at the time). Haven't done anything to the door side but I might just to double down.
I know what you were saying originally so I apologize if it sounded misguided. I was just stating that I don't believe Ford is currently under any governing obligation to say what type of system to use for their vehicle. Basically the most the NTSB can make Ford do is like you said disable flat...
Okay just called my buddy. It is part of the ANC setup so yeah more prominent and or exclusive to vehicles with Lux. It's part of the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) so those without Lux either get a reduced version of the fake ass engine noise or none at all. I knew it was generally complained...
No other vehicles with several different engines have it. The Bronco has it if you select the 2.7 but it may be dependent on trim, maybe the 2.3 as well but I can't say for certain. Test vehicles were generally the highest package and it was a funny topic early on but I didn't really think...
There's fake ass engine noise, that is a fact. I don't know the exclusions of what gets it since I'm not in that section of Ford but I know that at the least the 2.7 engines do have it. It's been a standard feature in vehicles since 2015
How in the hell do you think things on that list get verified lol. People trying suggestions. Usually I do them myself before submitting them but lately I haven't had the chance and offer others (many just willing) the chance to try it out.
That's because I've been building the data for that spreadsheet ground up. The 2021 F-150 Spreadsheet was "fully" decoded from Livintup and a ton of items are shared but not always. I reference that first for all changes. The spreadsheet you link is the verified results from that
There is some fake ass engine noise. However I don't know if this is correct or not, supposedly works. I believe it's only on higher trim packages.

If you know how the system works then you'd already have known that this order was submitted on the 15th of February to Ford. Not all customer orders have received emails
I honestly forget. They are 16 gauge wires so at least 10 amps. I run the S4's off them as a daily. There is no physical fuse. Part of the modernization of these vehicles is that a lot of these circuits are controlled by FET and just measure power draw to determine if a circuit is overloaded...
So I went back and tried digging some more and all the changes I provided are the only differences in signature vs non-signature. This is one thing I skipped over before but this is the only other thing I could find as a difference in the BCM. No idea if this affects anything but it's all I have...
From the 2022 Ford RV and Trailer Towing Guide.
"The car and truck models shown in the chart at right can be towed with all four wheels down. For safe operation, towed vehicles (or dollies or trailers carrying them) should be equipped with a separate functional brake system."
Since the...
That's great to hear. And there's four wires for it: Power, Ground, Brake On/Off Switch and the Control wire. I haven't actually looked to deeply into it until now but you may be right, it might just show that brakes are being applied but I doubt there will be any gain sensitivity displayed.
Good luck. Be comforted knowing that there isn't much that will be affected by not making the IPC changes. It's all just for indicators on the dash that you're towing a trailer. Nothing urgently important since it's kind of hard to miss that you're towing a trailer. I don't have the TBC so I...
