  1. How are you guys going to make your Bronco yours and unique?

Mostly by titling it in my name.
  2. Velocity Blue Bronco Photos - 2 Door Body Shell

Old habits die hard. I was 0311, you?
  3. Speedometer correction with tuner / programmer?

Thank you @ZackDange and others. I was going to be surprised if it was more than $100-$150 as I bought a primitive speed calibrator for my 2000 Mustang that worked well for $150-$200 and that was 20 years ago. Cars have changed a lot over the past 20 years. I feel old saying that but it's true.
  4. Speedometer correction with tuner / programmer?

Yikes, that's $450. May as well buy a performance tune if that was the case! Thank you for the reply. So no matter what it'll be expensive to recalibrate?
  5. Speedometer correction with tuner / programmer?

Has any new information come out since this thread was active? I may change the tires and gear ratio and would like advice on how best to go about recalibrating the speedometer. I'm also not planning on getting a performance tune for what it's worth.
  6. Easy Customization = Easy Theft of Parts

As someone else already mentioned, swapping out a couple screws or bolts with a security variant will throw a "wrench" in most thieves' plans.
  7. Velocity Blue Bronco Photos - 2 Door Body Shell

I like Sonic Blue, the Subaru bright blue, and a pastel / grabber blue.. Hell, I painted an outdoor bench thing I made it. In the Bronco picture it almost looks like a gloss pastel but I know that it isn't the same in person.
  8. Base Model Rear Locking Differential

Ah, a post I can understand easily. You've lost your touch (Sarcasm). I didn't realize there may few offerings and likely one configuration per company. I don't know much about Danas and had assumed that if it was a "Dana XX" that that meant it'll have plenty of interchange parts and...
  9. What are your remaining questions?

I was wondering that myself. It'll cause some headaches for both the dealer and the customers if so. I've never seen a new model year stay the same in price but it might happen in this case. I'm looking to keep mine for a long time but others than might trade in a few years would benefit from...
  10. Velocity Blue Bronco Photos - 2 Door Body Shell

Yes and like always, it looks different every time I see it. I swear it has this weird turquoise look near sunset which I do not like at all. It looks pretty good here, though. Ugh.
  11. Base Model Rear Locking Differential

@Rocketeer Rick Yes, it is making sense. I just told my wife actually that I have to read your posts, digest them, look things up that I don't understand and then re-read the next day before it clicks, ha. Otherwise I'd be quite lost. That's a good point about the steering feeling heavier or...
  12. Black Diamond Aftermarket Wheels

I may be interested in your wheels. I'm in Houston. You?
  13. How much money down y’all putting?

FYI to test the waters I was approved for a 2.29% for up to 72 months with 650-720 credit score with Navy Federal Credit Union. Yes my scores are quitefar apart apparently. Hopefully rates will be near this in a year.
  14. Base Model Rear Locking Differential

It's difficult to understand how it will feel to steer an equipped vehicles and what it feels like when it kicks in as I've not driven one before, only a Ford t-lok. When you say the steering is heavy do you know why that may be? If it isn't being engaged I don't understand why it would feel...
  15. Base Model Rear Locking Differential

Thank you for the great advice. During a long drive today I listened to a great many explanations and demonstrations of different traction set ups. It does indeed seem that I won't get much out of a locker. For a helical, what torque bias do you recommend front and rear to balance the On road...
  16. Base Model Bronco Thread

I'm not sure if this is later mentioned, but according to @Rocketeer Rick . Who is in the LSD business, the base has the ring gear welded to the carrier. Meaning that if installing a helical that you'd need new gears anyways. You sound like you have the kind of experience that I could benefit...
  17. Base Model Rear Locking Differential

Well, if that's true then that does suit me. For non-rock crawling off-roaders, what type of LSD is most used would you say? But helical is probably the best fit though it may be more expensive (from my looking around it isn't the cheapest LSD which is fine).
  18. Base Model Rear Locking Differential

This is great feedback, and yes the computer assisted traction control / fake locking is what I have read about the Wrangler and that all Broncos would have. Originally once I learned this I was content as I will do no rock crawling but not having a real LSD or similarly effective means kind of...
  19. Base Model Rear Locking Differential

I apparently don't have a basic understanding of helicals as I thought they would act as a temporary locker when one wheel loses traction / is in the air. I have my homework assignment...
  20. Base Model Rear Locking Differential

I'm unfamiliar with helicals. Is that a certain type or group of types? I believe I read that the Torsen is helical though I could be mistaken. What you described sounds right up my alley.
