  1. ATTN FORD: Let Those w/ VINs Delay Til September for Hard-Top Prep Kit

I would love to do this! But unfortunately, I don’t think you can 99 yourself once you already have a VIN. šŸ˜• And that’s a good way to look at it!! Thank you for being positive šŸ™‚
  2. ATTN FORD: Let Those w/ VINs Delay Til September for Hard-Top Prep Kit

Wrong. Read the previous comments. I switched to a soft-top, based on Ford’s reccomendation, in order to free up constrained parts for other reservation holders (you’re welcome). Ford literally said if they couldn’t get enough people to switch to soft-tops, that they would start building dealer...
  3. ATTN FORD: Let Those w/ VINs Delay Til September for Hard-Top Prep Kit

Wrong. I went with 2-Door for the price to capability ratio. I switched to a 4-Door based on Ford’s recommendation, in order to free up constrained parts for other reservation holders (you’re welcome). I actually ended up spending more money than I wanted, and am getting MORE room. But to say I...
  4. ATTN FORD: Let Those w/ VINs Delay Til September for Hard-Top Prep Kit

Once again, read the post. I made the change based on FORD’s RECCOMENDATION. I made the change, so that it would free up constraints for other reservation holders. I was doing my part for the Bronco community. So yes, it was my choice. Just like it should be my choice to delay my own order, and...
  5. ATTN FORD: Let Those w/ VINs Delay Til September for Hard-Top Prep Kit

You’re absolutely right. Most of the responses on here will be whiny little children (or bitter folks without a VIN). But I appreciate the constructive replies from the others. And since Ford monitors the forum, it’s worth throwing the suggestion. The trolls don’t bother me (:
  6. ATTN FORD: Let Those w/ VINs Delay Til September for Hard-Top Prep Kit

Incorrect. Read the post. I switched my order, because Ford said that if they didn’t have enough soft-top orders to fill, they would start building dealer stock. So I did my part to help the Bronco community by switching, and freeing up constrained parts. You clearly didn’t even read the post...
  7. THE my Bronco production build date has been DELAYED / MOVED BACK thread

Did the email come from Ford, or your dealer? And what time did the email come in? I’m scheduled for 7/26, and since the plant is supposed to be shut down that week, I’m waiting on a rescheduling email from Ford.
  8. Here’s what Ford needs to do to remedy the hardtop production situation

You’re proving my point. That’s an early preproduction model. There isn’t even a badge on there. And those wheels are not an option. The early MIC hard-tops didn’t match. That was part of the quality issue that Ford had with Webasto. The new MIC hard-tops going into customer units and dealer...
  9. ATTN FORD: Let Those w/ VINs Delay Til September for Hard-Top Prep Kit

I would be totally okay with this... In fact, I’d be ecstatic about this! But I don’t think it’s the kind of kit you can just install later. I’m pretty sure it’s completely different panels, and a different wiper knob. Not to mention all the plumbing required. I wonder if someone can confirm this?
  10. Here’s what Ford needs to do to remedy the hardtop production situation

You might want to get your vision checked. Hate to break it to you, but those are the same color lol. Shadows can be a real bitch 🤣
  11. Here’s what Ford needs to do to remedy the hardtop production situation

Wrong. If you’ve seen the most recent Broncos in person (or even in pictures), you’d realize the MIC Hard-Tops are the exact same color as the fenders. They’re also the same color as the grille on the Base and Black Diamond.
  12. ATTN FORD: Let Those w/ VINs Delay Til September for Hard-Top Prep Kit

TL;DR: We all know that Ford monitors Bronco6G, and has made changes based on the feedback they read here. This is my plea to Ford, to allow those of us with soft-top VINs, the option to delay our builds til September, in order to include the hard-top prep kit. Ford has delayed many of us for...
  13. Here’s what Ford needs to do to remedy the hardtop production situation

The grey production MIC tops actually look great, because they match all of the fenders and accents of the Bronco. The black tops seemed cool at first, but they look horrible in person.
  14. I’ve got a date for my manual big bend with trailer hitch!

What time did your email come in? As of now I’m still showing as scheduled for the week of 7/26. I hope I get an email with a rescheduled date soon.
  15. I’ve got a date for my manual big bend with trailer hitch!

Strange how Ford is scheduling people for August 2nd, when there’s still people from July 26th that need to be rescheduled. Maybe the plant isn’t shutting down the week of July 26th anymore.
  16. 6/25 Email & FAQ: Modular Hardtops Delayed Until 2023MY | Price Protection Extension | Free Hardtop Prep Kit

I don’t want to complain, because at least I have a VIN. But this really sucks for those of us who switched to a soft-top (based on Ford’s recommendation), and are supposed to be built in August. Ford won’t let us make any changes at this point. But I wish we had the option to delay til...
  17. 2.7 exhaust upgrades?

My mechanic said this as well. Do you know the reason why? Is it because the cylinders are bigger on the 2.3L?
  18. Just in: MAP shutting down weeks of 7/5 and 7/26

Just spoke to the Ford Bronco Help Number, and they said that while the July 5th shutdown is confirmed, the July 26th shutdown isn’t, and may not happen. Therefore, Ford hasn’t rescheduled any Broncos from that week yet. So the July 26th shutdown might not even happen. Take that with a grain of...
