I would love to do this! But unfortunately, I donāt think you can 99 yourself once you already have a VIN. š
And thatās a good way to look at it!! Thank you for being positive š
Wrong. Read the previous comments. I switched to a soft-top, based on Fordās reccomendation, in order to free up constrained parts for other reservation holders (youāre welcome). Ford literally said if they couldnāt get enough people to switch to soft-tops, that they would start building dealer...
Wrong. I went with 2-Door for the price to capability ratio. I switched to a 4-Door based on Fordās recommendation, in order to free up constrained parts for other reservation holders (youāre welcome). I actually ended up spending more money than I wanted, and am getting MORE room. But to say I...
Once again, read the post. I made the change based on FORDās RECCOMENDATION. I made the change, so that it would free up constraints for other reservation holders. I was doing my part for the Bronco community. So yes, it was my choice. Just like it should be my choice to delay my own order, and...
Youāre absolutely right. Most of the responses on here will be whiny little children (or bitter folks without a VIN). But I appreciate the constructive replies from the others. And since Ford monitors the forum, itās worth throwing the suggestion. The trolls donāt bother me (:
Incorrect. Read the post. I switched my order, because Ford said that if they didnāt have enough soft-top orders to fill, they would start building dealer stock. So I did my part to help the Bronco community by switching, and freeing up constrained parts.
You clearly didnāt even read the post...
Did the email come from Ford, or your dealer? And what time did the email come in? Iām scheduled for 7/26, and since the plant is supposed to be shut down that week, Iām waiting on a rescheduling email from Ford.
Youāre proving my point. Thatās an early preproduction model. There isnāt even a badge on there. And those wheels are not an option. The early MIC hard-tops didnāt match. That was part of the quality issue that Ford had with Webasto. The new MIC hard-tops going into customer units and dealer...
I would be totally okay with this... In fact, Iād be ecstatic about this! But I donāt think itās the kind of kit you can just install later. Iām pretty sure itās completely different panels, and a different wiper knob. Not to mention all the plumbing required. I wonder if someone can confirm this?
Wrong. If youāve seen the most recent Broncos in person (or even in pictures), youād realize the MIC Hard-Tops are the exact same color as the fenders. Theyāre also the same color as the grille on the Base and Black Diamond.
TL;DR: We all know that Ford monitors Bronco6G, and has made changes based on the feedback they read here. This is my plea to Ford, to allow those of us with soft-top VINs, the option to delay our builds til September, in order to include the hard-top prep kit. Ford has delayed many of us for...
The grey production MIC tops actually look great, because they match all of the fenders and accents of the Bronco. The black tops seemed cool at first, but they look horrible in person.
Strange how Ford is scheduling people for August 2nd, when thereās still people from July 26th that need to be rescheduled. Maybe the plant isnāt shutting down the week of July 26th anymore.
I donāt want to complain, because at least I have a VIN. But this really sucks for those of us who switched to a soft-top (based on Fordās recommendation), and are supposed to be built in August. Ford wonāt let us make any changes at this point. But I wish we had the option to delay til...
Just spoke to the Ford Bronco Help Number, and they said that while the July 5th shutdown is confirmed, the July 26th shutdown isnāt, and may not happen. Therefore, Ford hasnāt rescheduled any Broncos from that week yet. So the July 26th shutdown might not even happen.
Take that with a grain of...
