To each his own, but I want none of those things in a Bronco. On long trips, I use a Garmin GPS suction-cupped to the windshield, even in my wife's Honda which has built-in navigation. I can keep in my own lane without some doohickie doing it for me, and I can certainly slow down on my own if...
Are the grab handles the same physically regardless of transmission type?
The reason I ask is that Tasca lists the part number for the gray one shown above as being for a manual transmission...
Glad you got it back quickly! I'm a very light sleeper, and it probably wouldn't have turned out well for them had they entered my home forcibly in the middle of the night. Hope you can get it repaired 100% just as quickly!
I just went to the local credit union and got my financing pre-approved. I'm locked in at 3.49% for 6 months, so hopefully my Bronco will arrive before then. LOL! The loan officer said the lowest new car rate they've ever offered was 2.95% (which just went up a couple of weeks ago), and that I...
I've been banking at a particular institution for decades, but I did recently join a local credit union just to take advantage of their lower new car rates. They were 2.95% for 60 months, and this last increase put them to 3.49%. Rumor is the next hike will be around September 20-21. A teller...
Hopefully it is totaled and you can get full replacement value. As for the mention of buying it back for 10% as salvage, that would be awesome too! I'd give $6K for a 6th Gen Bronco and make it a 100% offroader that you could utterly thrash on without a care in the world.
I got the email as well! First contact from Ford since the order acceptance email. Since I was a walk-in, I've never had the luxury of the backdoor link. I did notice that about 1/3 of those in the spreadsheet are orders placed after January 1 of this year.
Maybe I'm a fool, but I honestly believe that Ford doesn't know which individual Broncos have bad valves, only the range of VINs possibly affected (25K). If it's the valve retainers themselves and not the grooves in the valves, hell, they probably just dump boxes of them into a large bin and...
Be sure to add it to the 8/29 build tracker found in this thread, if you haven't already:

This Bronco is the first new vehicle my wife and I have ever bought (I'm 54 and she's 61). We usually drive our stuff until we can't anymore, so no fear of us having two new ones on order. Lol!
In all fairness, the "hitches and glitches" are not all that common. It just appears so when confined to the smaller segment of Bronco owners found on this site.
