Ya, thatās nuts. I saw they were listed at that but thought no way a dealer wouldnāt discount them substantially. In your case it sucks that Iām wrong about that. Highway robbery.
@flip cued me onto this option as well:
āThe HM3 from Ford is stupid expensive and sold individually ($3.80/ea)...
Happened onto this thread assuming by takeoffs you meant wheels/tires. But reading thru Iām fully curious whatās the end goal? Do you just like certain particular upfitted features of the higher trim level? Or are we wanting it to appear as a Raptor trim? Either way, knock yourself out as itās...
Genuine request here but if you do this, for sure start up a thread about it and let the forum know your results/findings. I see this as a possible cheat code for a whole new drive mode.
@vrtical had a good point about what Ford charges for those clips. Aftermarket is definitely the path. Out of curiosity, how much did they charge you for the parts?
This is truly heartbreaking. I canāt imagine what youāre going through but know youāve got gobs of support within this community. My sympathy and condolences to you.
An idea, you might then list your parts with road rash for sale on this site. Between the folks painting and/or wrapping their flairs these days, Iād think it likely youāll find a buyer at the right price. Can help you offset the $600+ youāll have into replacements. š
Hereās the info you need given to me a while back via @Ducati1098 :
(1) - N2DZ-16038-ZC (right front flare)
(14) - W715694-S300 (tabs altho the new flare should include these)
(1) - N2DZ-16A586-AA (splash guard)
(?) - HM1 (tabs for splash guard)
My advice is to use @flip for parts ordering...
Pondered this since yesterday but without drive modes via ABS circuit thru switch, are we allowed full access to program all features? E.g. can I go 4H, engage rear locker, Baja suspension and exhaust, sport steering, etc.? Or does it disable those features also as default.
Someone play devils advocate and walk me through the downside of loosing drive modes for a day while playing in dunes. My guess is you may loose suspension and exhaust settings. But if the xfer case reverts to a basic 2H/4H/4L with no traction control/abs, Iād think that should give desired...
Thereās a few writeups on install on that one that are really helpful. IIRC, @Ice Age did a video with the step by step although I prefer the @vrtical dash location.
Definitely go wired adaptor and not Bluetooth actuator adapters made by Curt or Echo tho.
We had meth heads steal 3 phase wiring from our conduit running from top of the pole, under our road and to our shop. Likely $50 street value copper to them, $4,k repair for me. To prevent it in future, we removed all disconnects from the pole (except actual line fuses) and welded 3/8ā hardened...
I dunno⦠I just watched a summer ford sales event commercial on one of our local stations. It had a few different models but each shot of a Bronco had those flares so Iām not sure why theyād show a production model thatās been unfitted. š¤·
Yeah, prolly should have been more specific to connect the dots. Lol. Iāve never pulled my doors but I meant that if OP doesnāt have a top puller/storage opt yet either, this solution may be both creative and out of way if they pull doors and roof simultaneously. And yes thereās now a Bronco...
Good questions as Iāve wondered this myself and canāt find any existing threads.
For instance, my oil temp (round gauge setting) shows normal up UNTIL it hits 230 degrees and then reads as a numeric figure above there.
I get these may be normal, but itād be really powerful info to know...
I ended up getting a Top Lift Pro, their 4dr wrnglr unit as theyād not made a Bronco specific model then. Works great and has extension arms that Iām pretty sure would accommodate storing doors if I pulled mine.
Edited: only to add @TopLift Pros to chime in to confirm or deny.
