Yup, not ashamed to admit when I fucked up, always a lesson to be learned for sure. The worst part was the day before we took the truck to the post office and I heard what sounded like a beer can rolling back and forth in the fridge. My wife even said it sounded like it was coming from under the...
Looks sloppy!
Yesterday I found out that I should loctite stuff to my bar inserts on my trailrax rack. I honestly can't remember if I used split washers or not. I feel like I do for everything but can't remember if I did on this install. Lost it doing 75 on the highway and just thankful no one...
Oh I believe the mount I have is this one, it came with the maxtrax I bought from someone locally.

Slippery mode or straight 4wd? I have been impressed at slippery mode, something I use when the family is in the truck and I don't want risk. Now other times when I want to have some fun I sometimes mess around with TC off, 2wd and rear locked ha.
FWIW I use mine in ground tents all the time because the R value is incredible. Def can get away with it in a RTT but might be a pain to inflate/deflate everytime depending on the tent height.
Ha yeah the uprights on the awning mounts are going to get chopped and repowdercoated since they are my limiting factor. Once those are chopped down to size I can get in without airing down but 37's will 100% tough to make work in the garage.
For the switches and rear window lighting/led strip...
Not much happening with the truck besides just using it. Took the wife out to learn line choices and what not and then I took this fun line down.
Then impulse bought this aluminum rack from ebay. I originally wanted the 4x4 Colorado rack because it was aluminum but they went out of business...
I wonder where the original power was pulled from if you needed to tap a fuse. Got any pics of the install? Not something I NEED but will eventually want to retrofit.
Did a mod I wanted to do when I originally installed the winch, a winch light. The hidden winch is so low you can't see shit on what the drum looks like or where the clutch handle is even in broad daylight. I tapped into the hot going to the solenoid and the ground on the winch so it's only on...
Installed my rear tire basket and cheap RC tailgate reinforcement. I got it specifically to haul firewood we might cut on the trails/the chain saw. Never fun smelling the fumes inside the cabin.

I relocated the 3rd brake light to mount to the basket and...
Is it the companies responsibility to make sure you research how a product that is specifically designed for load bearing will handle in offroad situations though? I would imagine that is the consumers responsibility.
