My only regret is holding out until June to order something else. I guess, at the least, I could switch to a Bronco at the same price until '23 if I don't like what I ordered. What a disaster. I mostly feel bad for my Ford dealer, who are all good people and are missing out on business.

You're going to be waiting a LOOOONG time for true "full self-driving", though if you just mean what Elon calls "full self-driving" (which isn't even close), then yeah, you'll probably eventually see that.

Nobody actually wants that once they realize what that would mean to prices. Customers want things to be cheap, and shareholders want as much profit as possible.

Goodyear Wranglers are an option, or standard if you get the off-road pack. I'd still prefer KO2's, though.

It's either it's just bad luck, the windshield angle, or the thickness of the glass Ford uses, but my current Escape has had two windshields replaced in 5 years for cracks, and the thing is a chip / scuff magnet in general. I'm trying to drive it as little as possible until I get my replacement...

How heavily modified is the Defender? It looks like they added the rock sliders, did the conversion for 18-inch wheels, and put a lift on. That's about $4600 extra, plus whatever tires you choose.

Oh, they definitely won't reply. If anything, they're probably just mad that this "update" leaked out. They lose control of the narrative this way.

Two things... They're calling something "snazzberry"!? That price makes the Defender and it's options in that price range seem like a steal. YMMV.
