  1. Bronco vs. Wrangler Crash Test Video

All of that info is available on the IIHS website. Just search "2021 Jeep Wrangler" (and choose 4-door) vs "2021 Ford Bronco". You can scroll down to small overlap front and click on "technical measurements for this test". Unfortunately, both tests seem to use different standards, but in any...
  2. My Eruption Green 2022 Bronco delivered!

Land Rover Defender. Only a little more than the loaded Badlands I had ordered.
  3. My Eruption Green 2022 Bronco delivered!

Boy am I extra glad I dumped my Badlands order. It's set to be delivered to a Northwest Ohio dealer between the 7th and 14th... as a 2021. The fact that they're delivering 22's before 21's (and delivering '21's in 22) is a joke. Real clown move, Ford. 🤡🤡🤡
  4. Compared to a Defender - some general thoughts and concerns.

So, I had "99"'d my Bronco order but the dealer forgot to do it (and it's fine - I'm totally OK with it), so this morning I awoke to a "Your vehicle has been built" email. 18 months after reserving a 4-door Badlands, lux, leather, MIC, 2.7, Area 51, and it's finished and slated to arrive in 7-14...
  5. Compared to a Defender - some general thoughts and concerns.

Also this (as a sub-category on a LR forum): https://landroverforums.com/forum/2020-defender-60/
  6. Towing Tug of War: Bronco Badlands 2.7L vs Land Rover Defender P400 3.0L

I haven't watched it, but from what I'm reading, it's nothing more than confirmation that the factory tires on the Defender don't grip well off-road? That's not news. I wish I had enough money to not mind subjecting my Defender and/or Bronco to this sort of jackassery.
  7. 2.3L Bronco drag races vs. Jeep Wrangler V6 and 2.0T

It's a great way to seat the rings, and anyhow - that's what the warranty is for. 😁
  8. Compared to a Defender - some general thoughts and concerns.

Just had this pop up in my news feed today. It's a short article with a link to a 19 minute video review of a Wildtrack vs Defender. There was one spot where the Defender struggled in the mud, and it was pretty clear that the stock tires they provided are garbage on mud (they look like slicks in...
  9. Y'all Are More Patient Than Me (Defender v. Bronco Comparison)

There have been some more recent article about them focusing more on quality control. So far I haven't had any issues with my Defender, but it's only been 3 and a half months. I see some issues here and there on a Land Rover forum, but I'm not sure if it's accurate or sort of like the 2.7L...
  10. Y'all Are More Patient Than Me (Defender v. Bronco Comparison)

I don't want to run poison spider, so I guess it's good I didn't get my Badlands. Loving the Defender for day to day driving, though.
  11. 📝 UPDATE Dec 12th: My Letter to the Ford Executive Team: Submitted Customer Feedback Proposal and Response

I've had considered that I might dump the Defender and take my Bronco if the Defender was problematic (last I heard, 12/6 build date for the Badlands), but the Defender has been fine for these first three months. At this point, I think I'd have more concerns about the Bronco, which as a lifelong...
  12. Y'all Are More Patient Than Me (Defender v. Bronco Comparison)

The ports they use for the Defender deliveries are not the same ones having huge backlog issues. All of the cars are on RO-RO ships, so no cranes required. Mine took about a week from Southhampton, UK to Baltimore. Add a week or so for west coast. Order-wise, if you get a dealer allocation, 3...
  13. Y'all Are More Patient Than Me (Defender v. Bronco Comparison)

This was my thought as well. There have been multiple threads about the Defender and most of them have largely been respectful, yet somehow this one really brought out the trolls. Who knew I was a rich yuppie with a $100k vehicle (I'm not, and it's nowhere near that price). Geez. I even...
  14. Y'all Are More Patient Than Me (Defender v. Bronco Comparison)

I'm not sure anyone but you would call the air suspension "pedestrian". You are correct... no front locker. Just the rear and center, plus the torque vectoring system for the front. In good news, the Defender arrived in less then three months from being ordered, and with no water...
  15. Y'all Are More Patient Than Me (Defender v. Bronco Comparison)

The price difference isn't quite that large. My Defender was $15k over my Badland build (lux, 2.7, mic, tow, 4 door). It also came with a LOT more features. The stereo is better, heated and cooled seats, drive assistance features, air suspension, better tech... nobody here wants to see the...
  16. How to replace 2021+ Bronco brake pads and rotors using Brake Maintenance Mode

What sort of shocks me about this whole thing is that I just found out about "brake maintenance mode", which is sort of disturbing since I did the rear brakes on a '17 Escape without putting it into that mode. From what I've been reading, since the piston didn't shoot out of the caliper and...
  17. Bad news about MIC 2.0 quality after a few days

I asked my wife if she preferred flappy soft or hard and she said hard. I haven't yet asked her about the Bronco top, though...
  18. FINAL UPDATE: Complete Engine Failure - SAS Big Bend - 3wk Old / 1000mi / 2.7L EcoBoost

I'm doubtful they'd do this. The 2.0L 4-cylinder ecoboost they put into Escapes / Bronco Sports are known for head gasket leaks and people have discussed class action lawsuits, but it's been going on for a while with no changes. That's how I ended up with a rough idle one morning with my old...
  19. Compared to a Defender - some general thoughts and concerns.

Even Levine is liking the Defender.... :ROFLMAO:
